Silent Hill: Townfall is Finally Getting New Details on February 12th

Okay, so Konami is finally giving us the full scoop on Silent Hill: Townfall on February 12th! What’s really surprising is they’re not showing it off during PlayStation’s State of Play. Instead, they’re doing a whole new Silent Hill Transmission stream at 4 PM Pacific time. They’re promising to share the latest on everything Silent Hill related, so I’m definitely tuning in!

The biggest draw is definitely Townfall, and for good reason. First announced in October 2022, it’s being created by Screen Burn Interactive (previously known as No Code) and published by Annapurna Interactive. Similar to Silent Hill f and the Silent Hill 2 remake, it’s built using Unreal Engine 5.

Right now, that’s all the information available. Beyond rumors suggesting it might be part of a collection of games made by smaller developers, we haven’t heard anything about what the game will be like or what the story will be about. Considering the developer’s previous work, it’s likely to be an unusual, story-driven adventure, but that’s still quite vague.

Konami has hinted that the rumors about a collection of Silent Hill games might be true. They announced they’re developing Silent Hill: Townfall as the start of a new series and confirmed it’s the next game in the franchise. A retailer briefly listed the game with a release date of March 26th, and we should find out soon if that date is accurate. We’ll share more information as it becomes available.
