is sending more than four dozen Absolute Universe titles back for another print run.
According to AIPT Comics, DC Comics will be reprinting almost all of its Absolute Universe series in a short period. Starting March 4th, a massive 35 of these comics will be back in stores with new printings, giving fans a chance to collect them all.
This collection includes the first fourteen issues of Absolute Batman, with the first issue (Absolute Batman #1) being reprinted for the eleventh time. It also features the first eleven issues of Absolute Wonder Woman, and some issues have been reprinted for a third time.
These comics will arrive at local stores in two weeks. Also available will be the first four issues of Absolute Green Lantern and the first six issues of the highly-rated and thought-provoking Absolute Martian Manhunter.
Absolute Universe Has Changed DC Comics Forever
These new reprints of Absolute Universe are coming out just under two months before the first collections of Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, and Absolute Superman are released. These collections – Absolute Superman Vol. 1: Last Dust of Krypton, Absolute Batman Vol. 1: The Zoo, and Absolute Wonder Woman Vol. 1: The Last Amazon – are already highly sought after by collectors, especially because of their beautiful cover art.
The Absolute Universe series has been incredibly popular, but some fans are starting to worry about it ending soon. One of the creators behind the series recently hinted at when it might conclude. However, the final issues are still a ways off, and the story that has redefined the DC Universe continues to unfold with each new installment.
When discussing the series, Snyder explained that he and artist Nick Dragotta have already planned the overall story arc, envisioning Absolute Batman as lasting around 35 to 40 issues. He also shared his hope that the story will highlight the cyclical nature of Batman’s journey – how he’s constantly broken down and rebuilt – and emphasize that he uses his past pain to drive him to improve the world.
The first batch of reprints for Absolute Universe will be available at comic book stores on March 4th.
