Nintendo’s recent presentation didn’t mention FromSoftware’s upcoming game, The Duskbloods, but its parent company, Kadokawa, has confirmed it’s still on track to release later this year.
During the announcement, Kadokawa confirmed they haven’t announced a release date yet and don’t share sales predictions for specific games. However, the game will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 and will be sold in partnership with Nintendo, varying by region.
Regarding the Elden Ring Tarnished Edition, which wasn’t shown at the Partner: Direct Showcase, Kadokawa confirmed there’s currently no set release date. Because of this, it hasn’t been included in their financial forecast for the year ending March 31st. This likely means it won’t be released by then, but it’s still possible the release date could be later.
Ultimately, The Duskbloods is back at the beginning stages of development. It’s a player-versus-environment-versus-player game where up to eight players lead the Bloodsworn during a dark period for humanity. The game features over twelve characters to choose from, each with their own special skills and backstories. What’s really interesting is the ability to designate other players as either allies or enemies, which can unlock rewards and lead to unexpected events depending on your goals.
