Today’s State of Play presentation included a great reveal: Crimson Moon, an exciting new action game from Probably Monsters. The announcement trailer showcased a truly impressive experience.
You play as a Nephilim – a character with both human and angel heritage – whose existence is seen as either a threat or a hope for salvation. With a dramatic narrator guiding the way, the game shows this character battling waves of frightening monsters, easily defeating them before facing off against enormous, challenging bosses.
While we don’t know much about the story, gameplay, or world yet, Crimson Moon looks stunning. The combat appears to be similar to methodical “Soulslike” games, where you’ll rely on sword and shield to fight terrifying enemies.
Currently, we don’t have a specific release date for Crimson Moon, but it’s planned to come out in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (through Steam and the Epic Games Store). You can add it to your wishlist now if the announcement trailer below has you excited!
