Okay, so I just heard that Tatsumaki Games and Mankind Games are making a new game called Sanrio Characters Smash Festa! It’s an action sports game that looks super fast-paced, and it’s coming to Switch and Steam this spring in Japan. It’ll be a digital release, so no physical copy, but honestly, I’m already hyped!
Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:
About
Get ready for high-energy action with all your beloved Sanrio characters! This game combines the fun of tennis with the speed of hockey for quick, exciting matches. It’s simple to learn, but clever use of special character powers and stage features will let you master strategic gameplay.
Over 20 Unique Playable Characters!
The game features more than 20 characters you can play as, and each one has different strengths – things like how fast they move, how powerfully they shoot, and how far they can shoot a lob shot.
Try them all, find the character that fits your playstyle best, and have a blast!
Packed Single-Player Mode
Try Solo Mode and compete to become the champion using the character you like best! You’ll find plenty to do with 50 different stages.
Once you finish the game, don’t stop! The computer gets harder to beat with each playthrough, offering an endless challenge. Practice and impress your friends with your abilities!
