It’s hard to believe it’s been nearly five years since Nioh 2 came out, but Team Ninja seems to have made excellent use of that time, especially considering the good reviews Nioh 3 is getting.
The newest part of the series has been available for a little over a week, and we’re really eager to hear your opinions on it!
Initial reactions to the game have been overwhelmingly positive. The action RPG has received excellent reviews, and fans are enthusiastically sharing their praise online, indicating the sequel is a success.
Before Nioh 3 was released, some players were unsure about its new design. The game uses ‘open zones’ – large, explorable areas that aren’t quite fully open-world, but allow players to freely search for optional fights, hidden treasures, and secrets.
People are calling Nioh 3 the best game in the series, comparing it to Elden Ring, and that’s probably fair. But what do you think – is this a good change for the series?
For what it’s worth, we called the game “a new Team Ninja gem” in our Nioh 3 PS5 review.
As a fan, I can tell you Nioh 3 really delivers! We gave it an 8 out of 10, and for good reason – it takes everything Team Ninja learned from past games and combines it into what’s easily their best action game in years. It’s just a fantastic experience.
