Everyone knows that is a huge hit on streaming services. The NBC crime drama, which many are comparing to the previously cancelled show Manifest, has quickly become one of the most popular shows on the platform, especially with its second season currently airing.
According to data from Flix Patrol, The Hunting Party has consistently ranked as one of the top three most-watched series on Netflix in the United States since February 16th. It currently holds the third-place position, behind Raw and Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, which is number one. Other popular shows in the top 10 include Love Is Blind, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Katt Williams: The Last Report.
Premiering in 2025, The Hunting Party follows FBI Agent Rebecca “Bex” Henderson as she attempts to recapture a group of escaped, dangerous criminals. Her pursuit leads her to uncover a larger, hidden conspiracy. Melissa Roxburgh, known for her role in Manifest, stars as Bex, and the show also features Nick Wechsler, Patrick Sabongui, Josh McKenzie, and Sara Garcia.
Although it’s different from previous seasons, The Hunting Party will soon have an episode with a surprising guest appearance. Josh Dallas, who stars alongside Roxburg, is expected to play an escaped serial killer in an upcoming installment.
While NBC’s The Hunting Party has found some fans – it scores 82% with viewers on Rotten Tomatoes – critics haven’t been impressed. With a mere 18% score on the Tomatometer, it falls far short of the critical success enjoyed by shows like Manifest, which earned a 72% rating. Reviewers generally found The Hunting Party to be unoriginal and easy to predict.
The Hunting Party‘s Second Season Will Feature A New Dynamic Among Its Investigators
Shortly after the season two premiere of The Hunting Party last month, actor Sabongui suggested that the upcoming episodes of the NBC crime drama will show the investigation team working more closely and effectively together than ever before.
The actor told Fangirlish that the cast is becoming very close, developing a family-like bond. They also hinted the show will become more complicated as it progresses. According to the actor, the show’s plot and the characters’ personal feelings will increasingly intertwine, and their character, Lazarus, exists within both of those realms.
Both The Hunting Party and Manifest are currently available to stream on Netflix.
