Godzilla vs. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Figures Are Finally Happening (And The Dragonzord Figure Is Insane)

Over the last ten years, fans have loved seeing characters from different franchises team up, and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers have often been part of those exciting crossovers. A great example is Godzilla vs. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, which is currently getting a follow-up series. Now, Playmates Toys is releasing a line of action figures based on the series, and we’ve gotten a sneak peek at wave 2, plus an incredible Dragonzord, thanks to Toy Fair.

At Toy Fair, Playmates Toys announced a new line of Power Rangers figures based on classic Kaiju monsters. The first wave features the Green Godzilla Ranger, Blue Anguirus Ranger, and Red Rodan Ranger. Each figure is highly poseable, comes with its own weapon, and includes a gold Morpher medallion stand. They’ll be available for $15.99 each. Attendees at Toy Fair also got a sneak peek at wave 2, which will include a massive Dragonzord Godzilla figure.

Kaiju Power Rangers Reveals Wave 2 Lineup and Huge Godzilla Dragonzord

The first figures in this series look amazing, featuring detailed helmets and vibrant suit colors. And the upcoming second wave, previewed at Toy Fair, looks just as good! A standout is the Pink Mothra Ranger (as reported by Pixel Dan). The second wave includes the Pink Mothra Ranger, Black King Caesar Ranger, and Yellow Baragon Ranger.

Those numbers are great, but they don’t compare to the incredible Godzilla Dragonzord figure. Standing between 11 and 12 inches tall, it’s much larger than the 6.5-inch figures. Just like in the special crossover series – and similar to how the Dragonzord combined with the Megazord in the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers – this figure transforms and combines perfectly.

The toy line based on this series is still ongoing, with plenty of potential for new and interesting character combinations inspired by the comics. We haven’t heard anything about a third wave of toys yet, and the release date for the second wave is still unknown. However, the first wave is confirmed to launch first at Target stores between March 1st and April, and will then be available at all retailers in April.

If you enjoy Godzilla team-ups, you’ll likely be excited about the new Godzilla x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys from Playmates Toys. They recently showed off the second series at Toy Fair (according to Preternia), and it’s even more over-the-top than the first! A standout figure is sure to be Donatello reimagined as Jet Jaguar.

As a big fan of both Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Godzilla, I’m really excited about these new figures! The lineup is fantastic – you’ve got Donatello, and Shredder reimagined as Mechagodzilla, with Splinter taking on the role of King Caesar. Honestly, if you’re collecting Godzilla figures, either of these series would be a great addition to your collection.
