Hailey Bieber is basking in her baby’s milestones.
The model revealed that her and Justin Bieber’s 16-month-old son, Jack Blues Bieber, has started talking and has a particular word he loves to say.
Hailey shared on the February 18th episode of the Therapuss With Jake Shane podcast that her son constantly says ‘basketball.’ She explained that even when she woke him up from a nap, his first word was ‘basketball,’ which she found both amusing and a little unbelievable.
And that’s not all. Hailey—who married Justin in 2018—also noted their baby boy has good manners.
She shared that he recently began saying ‘please.’ He’d known the sign for ‘please’ for quite a while, and when she’d ask him to say it, he would perform the sign – essentially signing ‘please’ in American Sign Language.
Jack isn’t only learning sign language, he also enjoys singing! Hailey Bieber revealed her son loves to perform Justin’s popular song, “Baby.”
My son has been repeatedly saying ‘Baby, oh, baby, oh,'” the 31-year-old explained, imitating his voice. “He’s been doing it for the past couple of days.”
Plus, also much like his dad, the toddler has started to take an interest in sports.
She said he was really enjoying himself, running around and playing with a soccer ball – kicking it and throwing it. He seemed to be having a great time.
Becoming a mother has been a joyful adventure for Hailey, particularly as her son grows up and she feels more confident as a parent.
She described early motherhood as initially frightening, but surprisingly, she felt calmer than expected. She realized parenting is a process of learning on the job – you adapt and discover what works each day, growing alongside your child.
It’s amazing to watch our son develop his own unique personality and discover what he loves,” she said. “Seeing him grow into himself is such a special experience.
And while Hailey’s having fun raising Jack, expanding her family isn’t out of the question.
She told Jake she was taking things slowly, focusing on each child as they came. She definitely wants to have another baby, but isn’t in a hurry. She’s considering having three children in total, but isn’t sure what the future holds and is just living day by day.

“Gonna be a good summer,” Justin captioned this father-son shot in May 2025.
The trio bundled up in “November aka the best month of the year,” as Hailey wrote on Instagram.
