Wedding bells won’t be ringing for Joan Vassos and Chock Chapple this year.
The couple from The Golden Bachelorette recently shared that they don’t intend to get married in 2026, even though they got engaged over a year ago.
Chock addressed a frequently asked question in a video Q&A posted to Instagram on February 16th. They explained that in 2025, Joan’s eldest son, Nick, had a large wedding, and another son is getting married this year. Because of these family events, they’ve decided not to compete for a while.
Honestly, I’m just living for every little update! He basically said, ‘Let everyone else have their moment right now,’ which, okay, fair enough, but then… THEN he dropped the hint that something amazing might be coming in 2027! I’m already marking my calendar! He mentioned his kids, Taylor and Tyler, and his ex-wife Heather, just a little family detail that makes me feel like I’m part of the inner circle. 2027… it feels like a lifetime away, but I’ll be ready!
Joan, who has four children – Nicholas, 36, Luke, 29, Erica, 33, and Allison, 30 – with her late husband, John Vassos, completely agreed with her fiancé, prioritizing her family.
The 63-year-old joked that 2027 might be a busy year for weddings, though they hoped no one else would tie the knot. They added that one of their sons might be getting married soon. They and their spouse have grown children who are now at the age where they’re also starting to plan weddings, so they’re hoping to have their own wedding when things calm down with their kids’ plans.

The couple also talked about where they’re currently living and why they haven’t moved in together yet.
“One day, we will,” Joan explained. “We haven’t figured out the city yet.”
Chock shared that work and travel have kept them occupied, but they definitely want to live together eventually. They’ve realized through their travels that they enjoy being together, and the more they travel, the more they see that.
Okay, so I’ve been following everything, and apparently, even when they finally touch down wherever they’re going, things won’t change much with where they live! It’s like, they’ll still be living pretty much the same way they are now, which… honestly, I’m relieved about? It’s good to know some things will stay consistent for them, you know?
Joan considered the question and said she didn’t think they’d move to either of their current homes. Instead, she envisioned them keeping their houses and building a small, romantic getaway somewhere else.
Joan and Chock haven’t announced their wedding date, but they’ve already decided they won’t be sharing the details of their big day with fans of Golden Bachelorette.
Joan mentioned on a recent episode of The Tangle podcast with Kyle Ridley that people have asked if she and her partner would consider getting married on television. However, she clarified that no one has actually made them an offer to do so.
I’m content keeping things private with my family and friends, but I’d still share photos and updates about what’s going on. I’m really thankful people enjoyed the show, and I feel a sense of responsibility to those who watched. I don’t want to just stop sharing and leave them wondering what happened.
She explained that those who have supported them deserve to be kept updated on their progress, and if things go well, she wants to share the success with them, acknowledging their investment in the team.
Joan and Chock are hoping to get married in the future! Here’s an update on other couples from the Bachelor franchise.

Status: Dating
Before The Golden Bachelor even started airing, Mel Owen faced criticism for comments he made on the MGoBlue Podcasts With Jon Jansen. He stated he wouldn’t consider women over 60 and preferred they avoid things like hip replacements or wigs.
Although his long-time partner, Peg Munson, is also in her sixties, their relationship is full of energy and excitement. The former NFL player told Glamour he describes her as “high-energy.”
Even though he didn’t kneel during his final game in November 2025, the athlete—who is also a lawyer—still proposed with a Neil Lane diamond ring, explaining, “This symbolizes our love and our willingness to work together to build a future.”

Status: Engaged
Spencer Conley, who made a good impression on Jenn Tran with his friendly personality during The Bachelorette, found a connection on season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise. He shared a post with Jess Edwards (who previously tried to win over Joey Graziadei on The Bachelor) hinting they were falling for each other – a common way to say they’re not quite ready to say “I love you.” In August 2025, Spencer posted on Instagram that he felt like he’d already found his person.
Jess echoed the sentiment, posting on social media, “Just feeling a little excited about this guy and everything!”
They were overjoyed! After deciding to prioritize their relationship instead of winning the $250,000 prize, they got engaged and were then surprised with a check for $190,000.
“Everything that we’ve been through,” Jess said, “has led us to this exact moment.”
Jess announced during the November 2025 After the Finale Rose special that she would be moving to Dallas in a few weeks, following her new relationship.

Status: Dating
Bailey Taylor Brown shared on Instagram in August 2025 that her date with Jeremy Simon was the best first date she’d ever had, following their time on the tenth season of Paradise. However, it might also be their last. Bailey, who originally tried to win Grant Ellis’s affection, and Jeremy, who almost won the heart of Jenn on The Bachelorette, recently overcame their biggest fight yet. The drama started when Bailey discovered Jeremy had hesitated about sending Susie Evans home.
Their romance continued to blossom while they were in Costa Rica. Although they didn’t make it to the end of Bachelor in Paradise, they decided to keep dating after the show. They’ve even met each other’s families and are making plans to live in the same city.
In a September 2025 Instagram post, Bailey expressed how fortunate she felt to have met her partner and shared her excitement for the future.

Status: Dating
It looks like things are still going well for Andrew Spencer, from Katie Thurston’s season of Paradise, and Alexe Godin, who appeared on Grant’s season. Just six days after Andrew publicly called Alexe his “love” on Instagram in August 2025, she reciprocated, calling him her “darling” in a post of her own.
Even though they picked love instead of the $250,000 prize on the Bachelor in Paradise finale, they still received $125,000.
“This is incredible,” Alexe exclaimed. “I’m leaving with more than just money—I’m leaving with love, and that’s what truly matters.”
The show will follow Alexe and Andrew as they start a new chapter together, with Alexe planning to move to Chicago with her partner.
In a September 2025 Instagram post, she happily announced she’d found someone who shares her unique personality, expressing excitement about building a future together.

Status: Dating
During the “Bachelor in Paradise” finale, things got tense for Kat Izzo and Dale Moss when a previous contestant, Sean McLaughlin, claimed Kat had hidden a laptop and was secretly writing letters to an ex-boyfriend. Kat, who works as a nurse practitioner, strongly denied having any contact with him while on the show.
She asked if they were still together before this happened. He replied that they were, explaining he hadn’t expected to meet anyone else.
Even though Kat and Dale didn’t make it to the final test on Paradise, their relationship continued to grow. The show later revealed that the two – Kat, who was on Zach Shallcross’ season, and Dale, who was previously on Clare Crawley’s – traveled the U.S. together and were planning a future together, including moving closer to each other.
Dale wrote under Kat’s August 2025 Instagram post that things were difficult at times, but they got through it together, and he wouldn’t trade their experiences for anything.

Status: Just friends—for now
After leaving season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise, Gary Levingston and Leslie Fhima (who was a finalist on Golden Bachelor) seemed optimistic about their future together, even posting about creating new memories. However, Leslie, who was once a muse for Prince, isn’t certain she wants to pursue a romantic relationship with Gary.
She shared that she and Gary talk constantly. Appearing on Bachelor Happy Hour in August 2025, she explained that he’s become one of her closest friends, someone she trusts and calls when she needs advice. He helps calm her down when she’s stressed, and they always support each other.
Even though they live far apart – she’s in Minnesota and he’s in California – she’s still optimistic about things. She explained that, for her, the most important part of any relationship, especially a romantic one, is building a friendship first. She wants to be with someone she considers her best friend as they get older.

Status: Just friends
Kim Buike, a frontrunner on Golden Bachelorette, has found love with Faith Martin, who received the first impression rose from Gerry Turner. Despite being eliminated on season 10 of Paradise, the pair are still together. In August 2025, Faith shared a video on Instagram showing Kim enjoying a date with her in Washington.
In the end, they realized they were better suited as friends than as a couple.
Faith shared in a September 2025 Instagram video that she and the other person speak about two or three times a week, despite living five and a half hours apart. She clarified that they aren’t in a romantic relationship and never were, but they did have a strong connection while filming the show.

Grant initially connected with 25 women on The Bachelor, but ultimately chose Juliana Pasquarosa. Unfortunately, the couple broke up less than three months after their proposal was shown on television.
Grant announced on Instagram on June 13th that he and Juliana have decided to break up. He explained that they both tried their best and cared deeply for each other, but after careful consideration, they realized they weren’t compatible in the long run.

Joan Vassos, who was a contestant on The Golden Bachelor and later became the first-ever Golden Bachelorette, is engaged! She found love with contestant Chock Chapple during her season of The Golden Bachelorette and accepted his proposal.
During the November 2024 finale of The Golden Bachelorette, Joan shared a message of hope, saying, “We’re proof that it’s never too late.” Just before Chock proposed in Bora Bora, she told him, “I’ve waited for this moment, in this beautiful place, to tell you that I love you. I want to spend my life with you—waking up by your side and falling asleep with a kiss.”

During the season 21 finale of The Bachelorette, it seemed like Jenn Tran, who previously appeared on The Bachelor, had found her happy ending with Devin Strader. However, Jenn later revealed in September 2024, during the After the Final Rose special, that Devin became distant as soon as filming ended.
Jenn explained to Jesse Palmer that he dramatically declared his love for her, but the very next day acted as if those feelings never existed. She said all the promises and affection he’d expressed had completely disappeared.
The situation escalated when Devin posted a 13-minute video on Instagram explaining his perspective. In the video, he took responsibility for his actions and detailed the reasons behind the breakup, which he had initially discussed in a 15-minute phone call.
Jenn said he ended their relationship over the phone in August, but he insists she pressed him for answers while he was trying to tell her in person.
He said he hadn’t seen another option, especially since he wanted to tell her face-to-face. Ultimately, she made him reveal it.
Jenn then met Sasha Farber while competing on Dancing With the Stars, and the two began dating. They continued to dance together even after being eliminated from the show in October 2024, but eventually broke up in 2025.

Greg Grippo, who appeared on Katie Thurston’s season of The Bachelorette, started dating Victoria Fuller from Bachelor in Paradise in November 2022. They announced their relationship on the season eight finale of Bachelor in Paradise, but Greg shared in April 2024 that they had broken up.

Before Victoria Fuller and Greg Grippo revealed they were dating on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise, Victoria had ended her engagement with fellow cast member Johnny DePhillipo.

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist got engaged in November 2023 at the end of the first season of The Golden Bachelor and were married in a televised ceremony in January 2024. They are now divorced.
However, three months after their nuptials, the couple announced that they were breaking up.
Gerry and Theresa have been having open and honest conversations about their relationship and living arrangements. As a result, they’ve mutually decided to get a divorce, as they shared during an appearance on Good Morning America in April 2024.
They reached a divorce settlement in June 2024, according to court records reviewed by TopMob News.
In April 2025, Gerry shared on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that he was seeing someone and things were progressing nicely.

Tennis star Joey has found love! After dating 32 women, he proposed to project manager Kelsey Anderson in March 2024. He told Kelsey, his final choice, “I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” before getting down on one knee. Joey was captivated by Kelsey’s positive energy, saying it was a feeling he’d never experienced before. He shared that meeting her showed him how truly wonderful life could be, and he’s excited to build a future with her.

John Henry Spurlock, who competed for Charity Lawson’s affection, and Kat Izzo, a contestant from Zach Shallcross’ season, found a connection on Bachelor in Paradise, but their romance didn’t last. Though they didn’t hit it off immediately, John Henry proposed with a Neil Lane diamond, telling Kat she was everything he was looking for. However, shortly after the show aired, they announced their split, explaining that their differing career goals made a long-term relationship difficult. They expressed gratitude for the support they received from family, friends, and fans of The Bachelor franchise.

Eliza Isichei, who previously dated Clayton Echard, is engaged! Despite being hesitant about finding love again after her time on Paradise, she happily said yes to a proposal from Aaron Bryant at a beautiful oceanfront location. She was especially touched that Aaron asked her mother for her blessing beforehand, admitting she was so emotional she couldn’t control what she said.
However, the couple later announced they were ending their engagement. They revealed in December 2023 that while watching their journey unfold on TV was difficult, they were committed to a positive and respectful split, remaining amicable and supportive of each other.

Despite previously expressing disappointment that boyfriend Aven Jones hadn’t proposed in a traditional way – something he had seemingly been ready to do on The Bachelorette with Rachel Recchia – Kylee Russell accepted his proposal to try and make their relationship work on Paradise. Though she had a special engagement gown ready, she felt she needed to follow her heart, believing that “love is all about taking risks.” Unfortunately, just two days after the show’s finale aired in December 2023, Kylee announced on social media that the relationship had ended due to Aven’s infidelity. Aven later apologized, admitting he had made significant mistakes and hurt Kylee deeply.

Charity Lawson is thrilled with how her season of The Bachelorette ended! She hinted to TopMob News that things were going well, but her August 2023 finale was even more exciting than she let on. Dotun Olubeko, an integrative medicine specialist, proposed to Charity, a child and family therapist, getting down on one knee and declaring their love was “perfect.” He asked her to marry him and make their relationship a lasting reality.
Although they’re planning a wedding for 2025 or 2026, Charity will first be hitting the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars. Dotun surprised her with the news on The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose, excitedly telling her that he knew how much she loved to dance and that he was thrilled she’d be joining the show.

Zach Shallcross proposed to Kaity Biggar during the March 2023 finale of season 27, despite some challenges along the way. He told her, “I am so in love with you,” and declared she was his world, expressing a love he never thought possible. In July 2023, the couple, who are based in Texas, announced they had taken their relationship a step further by becoming roommates.
I was so happy to hear that Kaity and her husband got married on May 23, 2025! She described it as a small, sweet chapel wedding, and honestly, I loved that. She actually talked about it on Bachelor Happy Hour in June, explaining they’d originally planned something bigger, but she realized they didn’t need all the fuss. She said the most important thing was staying true to their love for each other, and she felt like she was getting too caught up in the tiny details. It was such a refreshing thing to hear – it’s all about the connection, not the spectacle!
However, one thing really won Kaity over: her aunt, who signed her up to compete for Zach’s affection, discovered the beautiful chapel near Austin where they had their ceremony. “It was exactly what I’d hoped for,” Kaity said.

As a big fan of Bachelor in Paradise, I was so rooting for Danielle Maltby and Michael Allio! They met on season seven, and honestly, seemed like a perfect match – both had overcome such heartbreak. Danielle lost her fiancé, and Michael is a single dad to his sweet son James, who lost his mom. They really seemed destined for a lasting relationship, especially when Danielle moved to Ohio to be with him.
Sadly, it wasn’t meant to be. They broke up about a year after getting together, and Michael recently shared how tough it was on Jason Tartick’s podcast. He explained that even when there’s love, sometimes people just aren’t compatible, and it’s like grieving not just the person, but the future you imagined. It’s heartbreaking, and I’m really sad for both of them.

Brandon Jones proposed to Serene Russell on season seven of Paradise, telling her he would love her forever. However, their relationship didn’t last. Just five months after getting engaged on the show, the couple announced their split in May 2023. In a joint statement on Instagram, they explained they had tried to work through their issues privately, but it was difficult with so much public attention. They shared that the breakup was painful and asked for privacy and kindness.

Pilot Rachel and contractor Tino Franco ended their engagement after he kissed someone else while their season of the show was still airing. Tino later admitted on the podcast The Viall Files that he deeply regrets his actions. He said it was unfair to Rachel, that he’s still ashamed of it, and wishes he could have handled the situation differently.

Susie Evans and Clayton Echard’s relationship, which unfolded on and off-screen during the 2022 season of The Bachelor, ultimately ended after six months. Initially, Susie rejected Clayton’s proposal during the finale, but they later reconnected. However, Susie explains the breakup was necessary for her own well-being. In a November 2022 blog post, she shared that she wasn’t thriving in the relationship and felt it was preventing her from becoming her best self, despite having some happy times together.
Susie then dated Justin Glaze, who is known from The Bachelor franchise, but they ended their relationship in August 2024.

Michelle, an elementary school teacher from Minnesota, received a proposal and a $200,000 check for a future home from Nayte Olukoya, a sales executive from Texas, after appearing on a reality show. However, the couple broke up just six months after the show’s finale in December 2021, realizing they weren’t a good long-term match. Nayte later admitted on a podcast that while their relationship had many issues and disagreements, ending things without an in-person conversation was a mistake.
Michelle later found love with Jack Leius in 2023, and they became engaged the following year. They were married in Minnesota in June 2025.

Fans were really rooting for Maurissa Gunn and Riley Christian as a couple, picturing a happy future together. However, after meeting on season seven of BIP, their relationship only lasted a few months. In January 2022, Maurissa and Riley announced they were breaking up in a joint statement, explaining that they both needed to focus on personal growth. Maurissa was previously known for her time on The Bachelor with Peter Weber, while Riley competed for Tayshia Adams’ heart.

Status: Split
As a lifestyle expert, I remember when Bachelor in Paradise made history with its first same-sex couple! They got engaged on season six, which was such an exciting moment. Sadly, they announced their breakup on Halloween in 2019, which was definitely a surprise for all of us fans.
We’ve always loved and cared for each other deeply, and making the best decision for both of us has always been our priority. With a lot of love and sadness, we’ve decided to take a break and focus on ourselves. We believe this is the right step for our individual growth and overall well-being right now, as shared in a joint statement.

Despite a breakup during season seven of Bachelor in Paradise, Noah Erb and Abigail Heringer realized they were meant to be together. They initially lived in San Diego, but recently bought a house in Noah’s hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Abigail announced the exciting news on Instagram in July 2023, saying they’re entering their “Chip and Joanna Gaines era” and looking forward to making memories in their new home. They’re even starting to plan their wedding! Noah proposed to Abigail at a beachfront home in San Diego in August 2023.

Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile, who first gained fame on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, decided to get legally married at City Hall in New York City in October 2022. They were already engaged after leaving Paradise and were planning a larger wedding for September 2023. Serena jokingly shared the news on social media, saying, ‘Who doesn’t want to get married twice!’ She now co-hosts the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast with her husband. Joe originally became known as ‘Grocery Joe’ when he was sent home early on Becca Kufrin’s season in 2018.

Kenny Braasch proposed to Mari Pepin with a Neil Lane diamond ring during the 2021 finale of Paradise, telling her, “I am so in love with you and can’t imagine my life without you.” Mari, a beauty queen from Maryland who first appeared on The Bachelor, moved to Chicago to be with Kenny and they began planning their wedding. Before tying the knot in a Puerto Rico beach ceremony with 65 guests in November 2023, the couple solidified their commitment with matching tattoos during a trip to the Bahamas in May 2023. Kenny had previously been eliminated from Paradise by Tayshia Adams.

Status: Married
Becca Kufrin, who starred on The Bachelorette, and Thomas Jacobs, a contestant from Katie Thurston’s season, found love on season seven of Bachelor in Paradise in 2021. They briefly split up during filming but got back together after the show ended.
In May 2022, they announced their engagement, revealing that Becca had proposed. She told TopMob News that she hoped their unconventional approach would encourage others to break with tradition. Thomas returned the gesture by proposing to her in October of the same year. In September 2023, they welcomed their son, Benson, with Becca sharing on Instagram that no words could express how much love they felt for him.
Just weeks after Benson’s birth, the couple had a surprise wedding ceremony on October 13th.
