Okay, so I was super excited to hear that with the new Monster Hunter Stories game coming out, they’ve added a special quest to Monster Hunter Wilds! It’s really cool – the whole thing revolves around delivering eggs, just like in the Stories games. Basically, you run around, collect eggs, and get awesome rewards for it. It’s a fun little nod to the series and a nice change of pace!

As a huge fan, I’m so glad this quest is always around – no rush to complete it! I’ve been looking for a guide on how to get all the collab rewards, and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned. We’ll also cover the most efficient way to collect those Monstie eggs during the quest, so you don’t waste any time!

How To Start The Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection Collab

Okay, so once you’ve reached Hunter Rank 9 or higher, make your way to the Scarlet Forest Base Camp. You’ll find a Palico named Sole there – talk to them! That’ll unlock a special Optional Quest called “A Royal Request.” Just accept it from the handler and you can keep going with the story.

A Royal Request Walkthrough

Your goal is to collect four Monstie eggs and bring them to the Pop-up Camps. You’ll find these eggs hidden on the map, but be careful! Picking up an egg will attract monsters, and if you get hit while carrying it, the egg will break.

Okay, so I figured out the best way to get these eggs back to camp without getting totally wrecked. You have to use the Ghillie Mantle. Seriously, it’s a lifesaver because it stops monsters from even noticing you! Just put it on and sneak past them while you’re carrying the egg – it’s way safer than trying to fight.

Equipping the Tool Specialist skill on your armor is very helpful because it makes tools like the Ghillie Mantle recharge faster.

Before you progress too far, it’s a good idea to establish Pop-up Camps throughout the Scarlet Forest. Specifically, setting them up in Areas 6, 10, and 12 is very helpful because those locations are nearest to where you find Monstie eggs.

You can’t use your mount while carrying the egg, so you’ll have to run back to each camp. This can take some time, and the longer it takes to deliver the egg, the more likely you are to be attacked by monsters. Therefore, finding a fast route is best.

Don’t forget to bring Dung Pods – they’ll scare monsters away if they get too near. Flash Pods are also helpful, and you can use the local wildlife to stun any monsters that approach.

Collab Quest Rewards

Besides the main quest rewards, you’ll also receive items related to eggs when you finish this quest. These include Silver Eggs, which you can sell, and ingredients to use in cooking. The better the Monstie eggs you deliver during the quest, the more valuable these extra rewards will be.

Here’s a look at the rewards you’ll get for completing this quest the first time. These are special, one-time bonuses.

  • Twisted Reflection background
  • Breezy Trio pose
  • ‘Stories’, ‘Chronicle’, ‘Monstie’, and ‘Reflection’, titles

Each time you complete the quest, you’re guaranteed to receive at least one Royal Felyne Emblem. These emblems are used to create the Rudy Costume for your Palico. You’ll also randomly earn one of several different pendants as a reward.

  • Hatching Gravios

So, after I finally finished ‘A Royal Request,’ I went back to talk to Rudy, and he gave me the Skyscale Ratha pendant as a reward! It was a nice surprise.
