So, Arc System Works just dropped an 11-minute video giving us a peek behind the scenes of their new action game, DAMON and BABY. It basically explains why they’re switching things up and getting into the action genre now – it’s pretty interesting to hear their reasoning directly!
The video description reads:
This video offers a complete look at how the game was made, from the initial ideas shared by director Daisuke Ishiwatari to the challenges faced by the studio’s newer developers. It shows how the team built something entirely new for themselves, starting with experimentation and without a set plan.
Witness the studio’s determination as they persevered through many setbacks to achieve their ultimate creative goal. Enjoy the polished and exciting gameplay that came from taking bold risks and exploring new ideas.
The game DAMON and BABY will be released on March 25th for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (through Steam). A demo is currently available on PC, but only until March 3rd.
