Square Enix announced that NieR:Automata has sold over 10 million copies globally.
To celebrate this big achievement, the company has published a new video showcasing the game’s history and all the projects it’s been a part of over the years.
This announcement is interesting on its own, but the video concludes with a puzzling message: “Nier: Automata to be continued…”
This has sparked a lot of fan theories about what’s coming next. Some believe it hints at a sequel, while others think it could just be new merchandise, concerts, and similar events.
Geoff Keighley has further amplified the situation by highlighting the message on social media.
It’s hard to say if this hints at a major sequel or continuation, but it definitely looks like Square Enix plans to keep supporting and celebrating the game in the future.
