BeXide is releasing The Fox’s Way Home – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on February 26th. Nintendo Switch owners of the original game can upgrade to the new edition for just $2.99 with an available Upgrade Pack.
The game The Fox’s Way Home was initially released on PC through Steam on October 10, 2024, and later became available on Nintendo Switch on January 9, 2025.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition offers the following improvements over the Switch version:
- Frame Rate – Improved frame rates provide smoother gameplay.
- Higher Resolution – High-resolution support provides even sharper graphics.
- Mouse Control – You can now switch the right Joy-Con 2 to mouse mode for mouse-based controls.

Dancing fox shrine maiden! A slightly sexy Apparition Find game
The game is easy to learn! You’ll need to carefully watch the Fox Shrine Maiden’s dance and remember the steps. Try not to get sidetracked and make sure you don’t miss anything!
How to Play
To find your way back home, you need to observe all of the ceremonies conducted by the Fox Shrine Maiden. Be careful, though – spirits called “mononoke” might try to trick you by disguising themselves as her and leading you astray.
Keep your wits about you, pay close attention to the ceremonies, and don’t be mesmerized by the fox dance – that’s how you’ll be able to identify the “mononoke”!
“One! If you believe it is my real self, call upon my name!”
“Two! If you think it to be an impostor, see through the deception at once!”
“Know that if you err in either, the ritual fails immediately!”
If you spot anything different in the dance, tap “Fake.” If everything looks normal, keep watching until it finishes or tap “Real.” Once you’ve lit all eight lanterns, you’ll be able to go back to where you started!
