Alix Earle Details “Tough” Reunion With Braxton Berrios After Breakup

Alix Earle is still getting used to her new normal. 

The TikTok creator said she ran into her ex-boyfriend, Braxton Berrios, at the Palm Tree Festival in Aspen, Colorado – it was their first time seeing each other since they split up in early December.

In a TikTok posted on February 25th, Alix explained it was a very difficult and strange experience. She was very emotional and described how, on the first night, she and someone she knew were in the same location but avoided speaking to each other. She didn’t want to bother him, and she kept catching glimpses of him from the corner of her eye.

She stated that she and the NFL player exchanged quick greetings the next night. Even that brief moment, though, stirred up a lot of feelings.

It’s strange when a close friend suddenly becomes someone you barely know, like they’re just a stranger across the room,” Alix, who was with Braxton for two years, explained. “It was really difficult—actually, it was awful.

She said it was a really enjoyable weekend, mainly because she got to spend time with friends and family.

The 25-year-old has been staying busy after her breakup and finishing up Dancing With the Stars in the fall. She’s been going to the gym, and on the show, she and partner Val Chmerkovskiy took second place.

She explained that she’s been really focused on physical activity lately. It helps her feel more in control and improves both her physical and mental well-being. She simply feels healthier when she’s moving her body.

At first, Alix and Braxton didn’t talk about their split, but the influencer later explained what led to her and the Houston Texans player breaking up.

She shared in a TikTok on December 13th that their relationship has been long distance since June, and they haven’t been able to see each other much. She admitted it’s been really challenging for her.

She also explained that she needs to prioritize her own well-being right now, and doesn’t believe she can give Braxton the support he deserves.

After all, she and the athlete both lead their own busy lives.

She explained that she wanted him to have constant support and companionship. However, she realized she was the one who felt obligated to provide it, and this caused her to feel guilty, as he hadn’t specifically asked for that level of care.

Although Alix and the others decided to go their separate ways, she clarified that they remained friendly and parted amicably.

She said she loves Braxton, explaining that he’s her best friend and it’s been hard navigating their current situation.

She explained that they seem to be growing apart, which she finds upsetting. Despite this, she and the other person are still friendly and she doesn’t want anyone to say or do anything negative towards him.

Alix shared this PDA pic on Instagram in October, writing, “hbd nfl man.”

The couple took a trip to the Bahamas in November during the Miami Dolphins’ bye week.

Braxton posted a series of pics from the getaway on his Instagram page, writing, “Worth the wait.”
