The technical sorcery being proposed revolves around what our dear Vitalik refers to as “frame transactions.” Instead of a transaction being just a single act-a mere flick of the wrist-it transforms into a series of frames, each capable of pointing to another’s data, authorizing senders or gas payers, and one even managing the signature check. It’s modular, darling, designed for versatility!

This means that paying transaction fees without clutching onto ETH like a desperate lifebuoy is now within reach. Users could pay in other tokens through a whimsical paymaster contract or a specialized exchange that magically supplies ETH on the spot-no third party needed. Voilà!

But wait, there’s yet another twist! The Hegota upgrade isn’t merely content with smart accounts; Buterin has also unfurled a quantum resistance roadmap, addressing four vital concerns: validator signatures, data storage, user account signatures, and zero-knowledge proofs. Existing accounts are expected to glide seamlessly into this new framework, gaining access to batch operations and transaction sponsorship along the way.
