As the anticipation for Resident Evil Requiem reaches its peak, let’s take a look at the exciting games coming out in March. There’s a lot to look forward to, including a new Pokémon life simulation game, a new title from Bungie, the latest Monster Hunter Stories, Death Stranding 2 for PC, and a remake of Fatal Frame – plus one of the year’s biggest releases. Let’s get started…
Crimson Desert
Everyone’s been talking about Crimson Desert, and it’s been a long time coming. Every new look at the game reveals something fresh and exciting. Whether it will live up to all the expectations remains to be seen, but we’re definitely excited to explore the world of Pywel, master each character’s unique combat style, and cause some chaos with our chosen mount—whether it’s a mech, dragon, or bear—when the game launches on March 19th.
Pokémon Pokopia
It makes perfect sense that a Ditto, which can transform into anything, would decide to start a farm and enlist the help of other Pokémon – especially coming from the creators of the Dynasty Warriors games. Pokémon Pokopia, releasing on March 5th, isn’t just Nintendo’s answer to Palworld. It boasts a 20-40 hour story, plenty of things to do after you finish it, and even lets four players team up. That should be enough to keep fans entertained until the next main Pokémon game comes out.
Marathon
Despite being a long-time Destiny player often let down by Bungie’s choices, I’m impressed with what I’ve seen of Marathon. The interesting abilities of the six playable characters, the helpful new features, and the game’s overall polish – from the loading screens to the way you finish a match – all contribute to a strong first impression. Marathon is likely to make a splash when it releases on March 5th, but whether Bungie can maintain that momentum remains to be seen.
Planet of Lana 2: Children of the Leaf

Building on the beautiful, hand-drawn art style and immersive world of the first game, Children of the Leaf looks set to be an even larger and more intriguing experience. It also introduces new gameplay features, like more ways to move around. If it can match the stunning visuals of the original, Planet of Lana 2 could be a surprising standout when it releases on March 5th.
Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake
The original Fatal Frame showed that a camera can be a powerful weapon, though not always effective against ghosts if you miss your shot. Luckily, Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly Remake offers a lot of improvements, including a new camera angle, stunning updated graphics, and even a feature where characters can hold hands for support. It releases on March 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch, and it also includes a brand new ending not found in the original game.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando
There’s a fun, over-the-top, 80s action movie vibe to John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando. It’s especially cool to see the Swarm Engine used with zombies, creating huge hordes that are both terrifying and impressive—you’ll definitely want to shoot them! After playing the demo, we’re really excited for the full game when it releases on March 12th.
Docked
Saber Interactive isn’t only focused on cooperative gameplay. They also recognize players who enjoy realistic challenges, similar to their game Docked. In Docked, you take charge of a hurricane-damaged dock, working to restore operations by managing heavy machinery, securing contracts, and rebuilding the facility. It launches on March 5th for $29.99 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

Interested in the world of Azuria and Vermeil, two kingdoms locked in conflict as a mysterious force spreads? Or are you here for the monsters? Monster Hunter Stories 3, releasing on March 13th, delivers plenty of exciting battles. You’ll encounter both classic monsters like Yama Tsukami and newer threats such as Malzeno, Narwa, Ibushi, and Arkveld. Plus, you can even find special monster variants by restoring their habitats – like a blazing Zinogre!
Starship Troopers: Ultimate Bug War!
I got to try the demo for the new Starship Troopers game, and honestly, it’s a blast! Auroch Digital is making a super fun, old-school first-person shooter that comes out on March 16th. Forget base building – it’s all about running and gunning, just like Boltgun, and killing tons and tons of bugs. It definitely reminds me of Helldivers with those drop pods, but in a good way! Plus, you get to play as Johnny Rico – how could I resist that?
GreedFall: The Dying World
Before Overwatch, GreedFall: The Dying World also removed the “2” from its title. It officially launches on March 12th, leaving early access behind after a somewhat rocky start on September 24th. The full release includes new content, better combat, more companions, and extra quests, with plans for a future release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Hopefully, this version will improve the reputation of the GreedFall series.
Screamer
I was a little worried after seeing the game JDM: Japanese Drift Master try to combine manga with racing, but Screamer is much better. It features impressive anime-style cutscenes, lets you play as several different characters, and uses a system called ECHO for power-ups like Strikes and Boosts, creating a surprisingly engaging experience. The futuristic world and team racing options, where you can compete against other crews, are just added bonuses when it releases on March 26th.
WWE 2K26
It’s a familiar story: predictable WWE storylines alongside the exciting news that CM Punk is the face of a new video game. The game features a ‘2K Showcase’ mode highlighting Punk’s greatest matches, plus dream matchups against wrestling legends. Beyond that, classic match types like Inferno, I Quit, and 3 Stages of Hell are back, you can now stack tables for more dramatic moments, and the game boasts a roster of over 400 wrestlers – potentially the biggest ever, with even more to come through downloadable content after its release this March.
Scott Pilgrim EX
Something strange is happening in Toronto! Robots and even vegans are causing trouble, and it’s up to Scott Pilgrim and his friends to save the day. From the creators of Scott Pilgrim Takes Off comes a new action-packed game from Tribute Games. You can play with up to four friends locally or online, easily joining and leaving games. Players can unlock and earn Badges to improve their characters. If you loved Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game, you’ll probably enjoy EX when it releases on March 3rd.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection
Building on the success of the Battle Network Legacy Collection, the Mega Man Star Force series is getting a compilation of its own on March 27th. It will include all three Star Force games and their different versions. With each game offering many hours of gameplay, plus a new gallery and online battle options, it’s a great collection for fans.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (PC)

It wasn’t a shock to anyone, thanks to the ESRB and Hideo Kojima, but Death Stranding 2: On the Beach looks set to be the most visually impressive game yet when it launches on March 19th. It will support ultrawide monitors and feature advanced upscaling and frame generation technologies like DLSS 4, FSR 3, and XeSS 2.0. The game even includes its own unique Pico upscaling technology. Coupled with relatively reasonable hardware requirements – you might want to consider a new SSD, though – it could easily be worth playing through again.
