Channel 4 confirmed that The Piano will be back for a fourth season, and revealed a new group of musicians who will mentor the performers.
I’m really excited for the next season of this show! It’s all about finding everyday people who can play the piano, and then challenging them to perform in busy train stations all over the UK. And the best part? Claudia Winkleman and Mika are back to host – they’re a fantastic duo!
This year, for the first time ever, the show will feature five new musical mentors who will guide the contestants.
Pianist Tiffany Poon, known for playing Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 which was used in the fourth season of the show Industry, will be performing at Birmingham New Street Station.
Jools Holland, the popular pianist and TV host known for his show ‘Later…’ and his New Year’s Eve ‘Hootenanny’, will be playing the piano at London Bridge Station as part of the search.

Popular Japanese jazz pianist and composer Hiromi will perform with the duo at York Station, and classical musician Alice Sara Ott will collaborate with Claudia and Mika at Manchester Piccadilly Station.
Jamie Cullum, a popular English singer, pianist, and radio host known for his jazz show on BBC Radio 2 since 2010, will also be joining Claudia and Mika at Glasgow Central Station.
Joining the show are new judges, along with Jon Batiste, a returning mentor known for his work on the Pixar film Soul and his previous appearance on the series last year.
Last year’s season of The Piano ended with an emotional win for 87-year-old Diane Newell. The widow from Newcastle, a former musician in RAF bands, won after performing her original piece, ‘Dreams,’ which she dedicated to her late husband.
The Piano is available to watch on catch-up on Channel 4.
