Every Episode of This Sci-Fi Masterpiece Is Now Completely Free to Stream 13 Years After Cancellation

While many good and even great TV shows exist, a few truly stand out as masterpieces. These series are nearly flawless, innovative, and often reshape their genre. They might take familiar storytelling techniques – like weekly mysteries – and elevate them to something extraordinary. Such shows are rare, but one sci-fi series that achieved this level of excellence – and is often considered among the best of all time – finished its original run 13 years ago. Now, you can watch every episode for free on Pluto TV.

Starting March 1st, you can now watch all 100 episodes of Fringe on Pluto TV. The popular sci-fi series, beloved by many, joins Pluto TV’s already impressive sci-fi lineup, which includes classics like The X-Files, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, Stargate SG-1, Doctor Who, and more.

Fringe Ended Too Soon, But Also Ended Perfectly

If you haven’t seen Fringe yet, now’s a great time to start with its availability on streaming! Here’s a quick rundown: The show centers on the Fringe Division, a special task force within the FBI that investigates strange and unexplainable occurrences. They tackle cases involving what’s known as “fringe science” – unusual and often unbelievable phenomena linked to a parallel universe. The main team includes FBI agent Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv), the brilliant but eccentric scientist Walter Bishop (John Noble), his son Peter (Joshua Jackson), task force leader Phillip Broyles (Lance Reddick), and agent Astrid Farnsworth (Jasika Nicole).

Fringe was a clever and exciting show that kept you on the edge of your seat, but it didn’t receive the widespread recognition it deserved during its run. Though critics loved it and it gained a dedicated fanbase, the show struggled with ratings. It was cancelled after five seasons, and that final season was cut short to just 13 episodes, compared to the usual 22. Interestingly, the series ended with its 100th episode, simultaneously concluding both the season and the entire show. Despite being cut short, Fringe managed to deliver a satisfying conclusion.

The series finale, “An Enemy of Fate,” is truly exceptional television. Like the show overall, it’s a complicated and intricate story—this time with time travel—but it still delivers a deeply moving and fulfilling conclusion, while also hinting at possibilities for the future. We won’t reveal the ending for those who haven’t watched Fringe yet, but it’s a perfect way to wrap things up. With the series now available on Pluto TV, hopefully it will gain the recognition it deserves.
