Paddy Dingle could be facing big problems in Emmerdale. Detective Sergeant Walsh has uncovered strong evidence suggesting he helped his father, Bear Wolf, with the murder of Ray Walters.
Early in the year, Paddy was shocked to see Bear violently attack the person who had been holding them captive. He then assisted in putting the body in Jai Sharma’s van.
He was shocked when his father admitted to the crime and turned himself in to the police, and he hoped his father would be able to argue self-defense in court.
Bear was released from jail, but he was still deeply affected by his experiences and couldn’t recognize Ray’s manipulative behavior.

Overcome with anger, he shattered a mirror, violated the terms of his bail, and went to the hospital. He attacked Jacob Gallagher (played by Joe-Warren Plant) before leaving and disappearing into the night.
Paddy was completely worn out after searching for his father all night. Detective Sergeant Walsh pointed out that, on top of breaking the conditions of his release, attacking Jacob meant he’d be taken into custody immediately once located.

Paddy found his father near the grave of Anya, another woman Ray had harmed. He vowed to fix the situation and offered to cover the costs of his father receiving care in a secure mental health facility.
Bear hesitantly agreed, but suggested it would be better if Paddy didn’t come over. He really needed time to rest and get better.
Walsh later went to see Paddy at the vet’s office and explained that she wouldn’t be trying to recapture Bear, based on advice from a psychologist. She did, however, warn him that his current hospital stay wouldn’t prevent him from eventually being sent to prison.
While they were talking, she noticed a rope on the counter behind him. She immediately recognized it as the one used to bind Ray’s body!
Will this have devastating consequences for Paddy, and will he also face jail time?
