As Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen heads towards its finale, fans are eagerly anticipating Yuji Itadori’s upcoming battle. This season is shorter than the previous two, making viewers especially curious about how the story will unfold in the remaining episodes. With the dangerous Culling Game tournament now underway for Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro, the season promises some intense fights before it concludes.
Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen has brought Yuji and Megumi directly into the action. Yuji managed to connect with Hiromi Higuruma, one of the strongest players, very quickly. The last episode ended with a dramatic preview of their upcoming battle – Higuruma immediately activated his Domain Expansion! – and MAPPA has released a special poster for the fight, which you can see below, before the next episode airs.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Hypes Yuji vs. Higuruma
In Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuji enters the Culling Game and starts tracking down a mysterious player to locate Higuruma. When he finds Higuruma, Yuji quickly understands why he’s accumulated so many points – he’s a relentlessly powerful fighter. Their battle begins with Higuruma immediately activating his Domain Expansion, complete with a spirit that appears as soon as he uses his cursed energy. Despite his strength, it’s still difficult to get a read on Higuruma’s personality.
Higuruma is a lawyer who defends difficult clients. When one of his clients was wrongly convicted, he lost faith in the justice system and discovered his unique cursed ability. Because he’s recently awakened this power, Yuji has an opportunity to discuss the rules of the Culling Game with him.
What Yuji Wants From Higuruma
Yuji’s primary objective in the Culling Game is to convince Higuruma to use his points to create a rule that would free Megumi’s sister, Tsumiki. Higuruma quickly rejected the idea, as he’s more invested in the competition itself and how its rules will play out. Despite the challenge, Yuji believes Higuruma is open to discussion and isn’t simply focused on causing destruction.
Meanwhile, Megumi’s opponent reveals they’ve made a pact with Kenjaku to participate in the Culling Game, hinting at a larger purpose behind the tournament. As Yuji and Higuruma continue their battle, the story unfolds, but with only half of this arc revealed so far, fans are eager to see what happens next.
