He told TopMob News at the NAACP Image Awards that Eric is just incredibly charismatic and someone he genuinely admired while watching the show. Seriously, to have someone like Trevor say that about Eric? It just confirms everything I already knew – McSteamy was magic!

It really reminded me of what made his character so special.

As someone who knew Eric, I can tell you he was just a genuinely kind person. He had this incredible sense of humor and a laugh that could light up a room – it was truly contagious! Beyond that, he was a really deep thinker; we’d often get lost in fascinating conversations on set. But more than anything, he was a devoted dad who absolutely adored his daughters. He poured his heart into everything he did, both his work and the things he believed in.
