As a sci-fi fan, I was thrilled to hear that FX officially greenlit season two of Alien: Earth last year. And now, Dana Gonzales, the show’s executive producer, has just given us a really promising peek behind the scenes at how production is going. It sounds like things are moving along nicely, and I, for one, can’t wait to see what they’ve cooked up!
After the first season of Alien: Earth ended on September 23, 2026, FX left fans waiting for two long months to find out if the show would be renewed. The network finally announced a second season in November 2026, but details remained secret until recently.
Gonzales shared a photo on Instagram showing a sign featuring a creature from the show Alien: Earth’s and his name, signaling that filming was about to begin at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire.
The executive producer shared his enthusiasm for beginning season 2 of Alien: Earth, noting he was thrilled to be filming in England—the same location where the original Alien movie was made in 1979. He posted, “Super excited to start the journey of @alienearthfx season 2. World building in the Alien universe birthplace.”
