Priyanka Chopra Jonas knows her late dad is always by her side.
Despite the passing of her father, Ashok Chopra, in 2013 after a long fight with cancer, Priyanka Chopra feels comforted knowing he would have wholeheartedly approved of her husband, Nick Jonas.
Priyanka shared with chef Josh Scherer that her husband, Nick, is the type of person her father would have chosen for her. She explained on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals that her dad was passionate about music – he loved both performing and appreciating it, and admired the skill involved.
Priyanka thinks Nick Jonas is incredibly talented – a true prodigy – and believes her father would have admired him greatly.
She explained that Nick was a very insightful person, and she believed he would have wanted a partner who was more like that – someone unlike herself.
As a longtime fan, it really touched me to hear Priyanka Chopra Jonas talk about her family. She shared that having her dad meet Nick and little Malti would have been a dream come true for her, and honestly, it just felt so relatable and sweet. It’s clear how much family means to her.
Although Ashok never had the chance to know Nick or Malti, Priyanka believes her father and a guiding force from beyond played a role in shaping her life.
It felt like someone was forcing my hand,” she explained. “I was pushed to move to America, pursue a pop music career, and ultimately, that’s how I met the man who would become my child’s father.
She explained that things just fell into place unexpectedly. It wasn’t something she’d planned or even wished for; life simply led her down that path, and she had to make the best of it. Looking back, she finally understood the reason it all happened.
