2026 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for anime fans! The winter season brought back some beloved series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, and introduced exciting new shows such as Sentenced to be a Hero and You and I Are Polar Opposites. While Crunchyroll continues to be a major streaming platform for anime, Netflix is also releasing a strong lineup of new content each month.
Popular anime like Love Through a Prism and Cosmic Princess Kaguya have been huge hits this year, and Netflix continues to add exciting new shows every month. While Netflix doesn’t release all seasonal anime, it offers a fantastic selection you won’t find anywhere else. With March here, we’ve put together a list of ten must-watch anime series and films for you to enjoy this month.
10) Sirius the Jaeger

This Netflix series, which premiered in 2018, concludes its first season with a shocking cliffhanger, leaving audiences eager for more. The story takes place in the 1930s and centers on Yuliy, a young werewolf who is part of a vampire-hunting organization known as the Jaegers.
The team’s newest adventure takes them to Japan, where they must stop a hidden group of vampires searching for an ancient artifact and causing trouble along the way. The anime will no longer be available for streaming after April 6th, 2026, making now the best time to watch it.
9) Mob Psycho 100

Despite being well-loved by fans and critics, this anime series will no longer be available on the platform after May 22nd, 2026. It’s based on the popular manga by ONE – the creator of One-Punch Man – and tells the story of Shigeo Kageyama, an eighth-grader nicknamed Mob.
I’m totally hooked on this story about a guy who’s got incredibly powerful psychic abilities, but he just wants to live a normal life and keep them secret! It’s not always easy, though. He’s actually training with this quirky, self-proclaimed psychic named Arataka Reigen, who’s kind of using his powers, but also genuinely trying to help him deal with everything and grow as a person. It’s a really interesting dynamic!
8) Forest of Piano

Similar to the anime Sirius the Jaeger, Forest of Piano will only be available to stream on Netflix, and it will no longer be legally available after September 28, 2026. This anime, based on the acclaimed manga by Makoto Isshiki, tells the story of Kai Ichinose, a boy who finds solace playing an old piano in the forest while growing up in a tough neighborhood.
Sosuke Ajino, a teacher and former piano star, noticed the boy’s natural ability and began to mentor him. Another student, Shuehei Amamiya – whose father is a well-known pianist – also dreams of becoming a concert pianist and shares this ambition with the boy.
7) Wind Breaker

Starting March 2nd, 2026, you’ll be able to watch the first season of the anime on Netflix. The second season could be available a few months later. This popular action series is set in a high school and centers around a group of boys dedicated to defending their town.
Sakura Haruka, a troubled student often avoided because of how he looks, starts over at Furin High School in a new town. He intends to become the strongest student there, but quickly discovers that the school, known for its rebellious reputation, is actually working to keep the town safe from dangerous gangs.
6) Lost in Starlight

Lost in Starlight is a groundbreaking Korean anime film, marking the first of its kind to be released worldwide. Available to stream now, the movie is visually stunning. Set in 2050, it combines old-fashioned and futuristic styles for a distinctive look, and features a calming soundtrack that’s integral to the narrative.
The story centers around Nan-young, an astronaut hoping to lead a future mission to Mars. Though she’s skilled, she’s passed over for the opportunity. Back in Korea, she meets Jay, a musician who gave up on his own aspirations and now fixes old stereos. As they get to know each other, both Nan-young and Jay rediscover their passions and develop feelings for each other, knowing their time together is limited.
5) Witch Watch

This funny and touching anime is adapted from the popular manga by Kenta Shinohara, originally published in Weekly Shonen Jump. Filled with classic fantasy creatures like witches, ogres, tengus, vampires, and werewolves, the series is sure to captivate. The main character, Morihito Otogi, appears to be a normal high school student, but he’s secretly an ogre.
The story starts when Morihito discovers his childhood friend, Nico Wakatsuki, is back. Nico is a witch who has spent years training abroad to improve her powers. Knowing Nico will soon face danger, Morihito agrees to become her magical companion, and they live together while she adjusts to life among humans.
4) Gintama

This popular anime, originally released over 20 years ago, became available on Netflix this January. Based on the successful manga by Hideaki Sorachi in Weekly Shonen Jump, the series was released across multiple seasons and movies. It remains incredibly popular today, with fans continuing to enjoy the funny and chaotic adventures of Gintoki Sakata and his friends.
As the story unfolds, it becomes increasingly intricate and explores the harsh realities of life in a world scarred by an ancient invasion and riddled with corruption.
3) Love Through a Prism

Yoko Kamio, the popular manga artist behind hits like Boys Over Flowers, Cat Street, and Matsuri Special, created this story. The anime takes place in the 1990s and centers on Lili Ichijouin, who moves from Japan to London to attend the renowned Saint Thomas Art Academy and pursue her dream of becoming an artist.
Her parents have warned her that if she doesn’t maintain top grades, she’ll have to return home. While adjusting to her new surroundings, she encounters Kit Church, a talented student who is keeping secrets of his own.
2) Cosmic Princess Kaguya!

This unique anime movie offers a fresh take on the classic Japanese story, The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter. It also marks the first time Shingo Yamashita has directed a full film – he’s well known for directing the exciting opening sequences of hit anime like Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 and Chainsaw Man.
This story centers around two girls who connect through their shared love of music. They perform in Tsukuyomi, a vibrant virtual world built on dreams and aspirations.
1) 100 Meters
![]()
I recently watched an anime film that started as a popular manga by Uoto. It was first released in Japanese theaters in September 2025, and then it came to Netflix where it quickly became a huge success. The film follows the story of Togashi, a naturally gifted runner who always wins every 100-meter dash without even trying.
His life changes when he meets Komiya, a new student who shares his love for running. Recognizing Komiya’s potential, Togashi begins to mentor him. Years later, after finishing school, they reunite as competitors, both striving to achieve their dreams on the track.
