Scarlett Johansson’s new science fiction film is a huge hit, reaching the number one spot on both Netflix in the US and HBO Max worldwide. Viewers on both streaming services are enjoying the action-packed movie.
Scarlett Johansson’s Jurassic World: Rebirth is killing it on streaming
Scarlett Johansson’s latest film, Jurassic World Rebirth, has become the most popular movie on Netflix in the United States. Since its release on February 28th, it quickly rose to the top of the streaming charts.
The prehistoric adventure is gaining popularity, currently ranking 5th in Australia and 7th in New Zealand, according to FlixPatrol. It’s outperforming other titles like Firebreak, the latest Mission: Impossible film starring Tom Cruise, and the animated series KPop Demon Hunters.
Jurassic World Rebirth is a huge hit, topping the charts on both Netflix and HBO Max. The latest installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, which started with the original 1993 film, is currently the most-watched movie globally on HBO Max. According to data from FlixPatrol, it’s popular in 20 countries and is the number one movie in 20 of those, including Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia.
I’m so excited about this new movie! It features the incredibly talented Johansson, alongside Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, and they’re really taking the lead now. I was amazed to hear it’s already doing so well – it’s actually outperforming some of my favorites like Sisu, the Mummy films with Brendan Fraser, even the hilarious Not Another Teen Movie, and Tom Hardy’s Locke on HBO Max’s global charts! It’s a fantastic sign for what’s to come.
Jurassic World Rebirth earned an impressive $869.1 million at the box office worldwide. Despite costing around $180 million to make, the film was profitable for the studio. Although it’s the lowest-earning film in the Jurassic World trilogy and didn’t reach $1 billion in theaters, it has performed well on streaming services.
With this explosive debut on both Netflix and HBO Max, speculation about a follow-up is heating up.
