Embark Studios has released a new update for ARC Raiders. Although small, the update significantly adjusts how often rare blueprints appear in First Wave Caches during Hurricane conditions on the map. The developers noted that these caches were previously giving out blueprints too frequently.
To balance things out, even though it will be harder to find rare blueprints directly, First Wave Caches will now offer better chances of getting valuable crafting materials. These Caches will still be a reliable source of blueprints overall, and the developers expect players to find around 3 to 5 blueprints per session from them.
According to the game studio, the recent change is due to players finding and collecting blueprints very efficiently from the First Wave Caches. They’ve been giving out too many blueprints as a result.
Okay, so we’ve tweaked the loot caches. We’re making it so you get better stuff inside – higher-tier materials will drop more often. You might not find as many blueprints overall, but the materials you do get will be way more useful. Caches are still a good way to find blueprints, but don’t expect to hit the jackpot every single time and walk away with a huge pile of them – like 3 to 5. It’ll be more balanced now.
So, this update isn’t just about new stuff, they’ve also squashed some bugs. I used to be able to stash my Snaphook while it was still hooked, which was kinda broken, and they’ve really quickly fixed a big issue with the Dam area. They also smoothed out some little performance hiccups. If you want the full rundown, check out the complete patch notes down below.
The game ARC Raiders is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. A recent update, called Shrouded Sky, added a new challenge called the Hurricane. During a Hurricane, visibility is low, winds are strong enough to affect your movement, and flying debris can disrupt your shields. Despite these dangers, venturing out during a Hurricane offers the chance to find special rewards called First Wave Caches, which are revealed by the strong winds. Interestingly, players have begun reporting seeing unusual flying objects in the sky whenever a Hurricane occurs.
