OPUS: Prism Peak delayed to April 16

I was really excited for OPUS: Prism Peak to come out on March 26th, but unfortunately, Shueisha Games and SIGONO just announced it’s been delayed a bit. Now, we’ll have to wait until April 16th to play it. The good news is it’s still coming to Switch, Switch 2, and PC through Steam, so I’m still looking forward to diving in!

SIGONO announced they are finishing up testing to make sure the game works well on all platforms. To coordinate the launch across Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and Steam, the release date has been set to April 16, 2026.

Look, I get it – the wait for this game has been brutal, and hearing it’s delayed again is super frustrating. But honestly, the team told me they just want to make sure it’s perfect when it finally gets to us, and that extra time is what it takes. They want us to have the experience they envisioned, and I can respect that.

Here is an overview of the game, via it Steam page:

About

“Capture the moment, then learn to let go.”

I’m really excited about OPUS: Prism Peak! It’s an adventure game where you play as someone who’s seen a lot and suddenly ends up somewhere totally unreal. You use an old camera to explore this beautiful, strange world and figure out how it connects to your life back home. It sounds like a really intriguing mystery, and the goal is to find your way back to reality. I can’t wait to play it!

You’re a photographer, worn down by life in the city, hoping to find peace by returning to your hometown. But a sudden accident leaves you lost in a strange, beautiful mountain world, where you meet a puzzling young woman. To understand this new place and find your way back, you’ll need to investigate its secrets, relying only on your trusty old camera.

Where do grownups go when they lose their way?

Key Features

  • Photography – Photography in OPUS: Prism Peak reflects how closely the protagonist looks at the world. Players must take in their surroundings, understand what each spirit desires, and capture the realm’s secrets through their lens. Capture the moment, then learn to let go.
  • Companionship – Among the spirits is a girl with no memory of who she is, only a faint sense that she needed to help a grownup through his struggles. As their journey unfolds, her presence offers a different angle that helps him see the world more clearly. It’s nice that you came along at a time like this.
  • Wistful Magical Realism – This world is not unlike reality, yet it is slowly fading away. Humanity has long since vanished, leaving only animal spirits to inhabit its remains. They believe that so long as they capture each other’s moments, they will continue to exist.
  • Spiritual Bonds – The spirits you encounter throughout the game may grow closer to you depending on your choices, quietly shaping what awaits at your destination.
