Charli XCX is everywhere, she’s so cinema.
Singer Party 4 U has expressed a desire to pursue acting more seriously. She’s been working on film projects lately, such as her mockumentary, The Moment, and she also created the soundtrack for a new version of Wuthering Heights.
During a recent episode of the Feeding Starving Celebrities series, Quenlin Blackwell asked Charli if she’d be interested in pursuing acting more seriously. Charli responded enthusiastically, saying she was ready to leave music behind and focus on acting.
After mentioning the Grammy-winning album Brat and its success in 2024, Quenlin, 25, playfully asked, “What else is there to accomplish?”
Charli, who married The 1975’s drummer George Daniel in July, mentioned she’d shared a horror movie idea on TikTok back in May. She described the concept as a mix of a popular “it-girl” story and the movie Final Destination.
She imagined they’d be killed by robots or something similar. She thought if it were a fashion-world thing, everyone would die during a fashion show. Personally, she figured she’d die at a rave – that just made sense to her.
Charli is quickly gaining recognition in the film industry. She recently released a movie called The Moment, which included appearances by Kylie Jenner and Julia Fox. She also created an album inspired by the period drama starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, and is now collaborating with Jack Antonoff to write original songs for the upcoming psychological horror film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel.

Charli recently shared on her Substack that she’s increasingly drawn to filmmaking. She’s finding joy in all aspects of it – acting, writing, and simply watching movies – and is excited to explore this new creative outlet.
She called her recent experience with filmmaking “very fulfilling and natural,” but emphasized that music will always be a core part of who she is, even though she’s considered stepping away from it at times.
Luckily, Charli can find inspiration in many singers who have successfully become actors. Read on to discover more stars who’ve made the leap to the big screen…
