*Warning – contains major spoilers for The Capture season 3 episode 1.*
The third season of The Capture started strong, immediately grabbing viewers with two big surprises in its first episode.
Both Isaac Turner, played by Paapa Essiedu, and Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) faced shocking revelations. Isaac was unexpectedly killed by a professional assassin, and Rachel soon discovered her new boss, Noah Pierson, was the very person who committed the murder.
It’s unclear exactly what will happen next, but the last episode ended with a major cliffhanger, so viewers are eagerly awaiting the next installment. When can we expect episode 2 to air?
Here’s a complete guide to when the remaining episodes of The Capture season 3 will be released.
When will The Capture season 3 episode 2 be released?

The third season of The Capture began with its first episode becoming available on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Sunday, March 8th. It then aired on BBC One at 9pm the same day. All new episodes will be released this way – first on iPlayer on Sundays, then on BBC One later that evening.
Episode 2 will be available on BBC iPlayer at 6am on Sunday, March 15th. It will then be shown on BBC One at 9pm the same day.
How many episodes will there be of The Capture season 3?

There will be 6 episodes of The Capture season 3 in total.
The new season has the same number of episodes as the first two seasons, which aired in 2019 and 2022.
Ben Chanan, the creator of the show, initially planned for season 3 to be the final one. However, he now isn’t sure if that will actually happen.
He described each season as a complete story, like a self-contained movie, and hoped that story felt finished. However, he also acknowledged that you can’t completely close off possibilities, and there’s always a chance for things to continue or for familiar faces to return.
The Capture season 3 release schedule

New episodes of The Capture season 3 will be released every Sunday at 9pm on BBC One. There are six episodes in total.
But viewers can watch episodes earlier than the broadcast time – they’ll be available on BBC iPlayer starting at 6am on the day they air.

Okay, let me tell you a bit about James Hibbs, who writes about TV drama for TopMob. He’s got a really solid background – before becoming a critic, he worked in public relations, both for a business-focused agency and then for Fremantle, a big international production company. He clearly knows his stuff, with a degree in English and Theatre Studies and a journalism diploma. He’s definitely someone who understands the industry from multiple angles, which I think really comes through in his writing.
