It’s now confirmed that Ubisoft will indeed be creating a first-person perspective installment within the Ghost Recon series, which were previously just speculations.
People weren’t actively challenging those rumors, but here comes an official statement from the publisher themselves, confirming it.
At the most recent gathering of shareholders (according to our records), the company’s CEO, Yves Guillemot, discussed taking advantage of imminent releases like The Division and Ghost Recon.
It appears that the name of the upcoming Ghost Recon game has been subtly mentioned by Ubisoft’s top executive, hinting at its potential release.
In simpler terms, Frederick Duguet, our Chief Financial Officer, mentioned that this project will gain significant advantages with Tencent’s investment, since Tencent is a well-known and influential brand.
“Ghost Recon is just one example, for our first-person-shooter-type-games,” Duguet reveals.
Here it is, as expected, the earlier reports were correct, leaving us only to wonder about the timing for the official reveal of the title.
Based on the previous reports, it appears that the upcoming Ghost Recon game aims to deliver a more authentic, tactical military shooting experience. As of now, its scheduled launch is set for the year 2026.
