It’s always disappointing when Netflix removes shows and movies, even though new titles usually appear. It’s especially frustrating when it’s Netflix originals that disappear—fans are often left wondering if or when they’ll be able to watch them elsewhere. Some shows, like The Killing, were unavailable for years, while others were quickly picked up by different streaming services.
Netflix is removing five of its original shows over the next few weeks. The lineup includes a variety of genres – documentaries, comedy specials, and dramas. Keep an eye out for Magical Andes, Demetri Martin: Demetri Deconstructed, Sirius the Jaeger (Season 1), The Ruthless, and Fern Brady: Autistic Bikini Queen, as one will be taken off the platform each week in March.
That’s a Lot of Content to Say Goodbye to

Netflix is removing several titles next month. First, the documentary series Magical Andes, which showcases the stunning landscapes and cultures of the Andes Mountains across South America, will be gone on April 1st. It was a popular show with great reviews. Then, on April 2nd, the comedy special Demetri Martin: Demetri Deconstructed will be removed. In it, Demetri Martin shares his humorous takes on everyday life. Finally, the anime series Sirius the Jaeger, which has a strong audience score of 81%, will leave on April 6th. It’s a story about a secret group of vampire hunters in Imperial Tokyo searching for a powerful artifact.
Netflix is removing two titles next month. First, the Italian series The Ruthless, which follows a young man’s rise as a criminal in 1980s Milan, will be gone on April 19th. While it had a stylish, retro vibe, it wasn’t well-received by viewers or critics. Also leaving on April 22nd is the comedy special Fern Brady: Autistic Bikini Queen, where comedian Fern Brady discusses topics like aging, death, and life’s letdowns.
These Netflix shows weren’t particularly memorable, but their removal serves as a reminder of how quickly content can disappear with streaming. Because no one truly owns these shows, we’re always subject to licensing agreements and when those agreements expire.
