Just a year after Season 8 finished, fans can look forward to a fresh batch of episodes this Spring.
Get ready! Season 9 of Rick and Morty will premiere this spring on Adult Swim, specifically on Sunday, May 24th at 11:00pm Eastern and Pacific time. To build excitement, Adult Swim has released some sneak peek images and a first look at what’s coming up in the new season. You can find details about Rick and Morty Season 9 below.
When Does Rick and Morty Season 9 Come Out?

Season 9 of Rick and Morty premieres on Adult Swim on Sunday, May 24th at 11:00pm Eastern and Pacific time. The show will launch in over 170 countries and be available in 42 languages. After the U.S. premiere, new episodes will be available to buy digitally. Fans in the United States can start streaming the new season on August 31, though the specific streaming platforms haven’t been announced yet.
It’s still early to say for sure what will happen in Season 9 of Rick and Morty, and the official description is typical of the show – playfully unclear. It promises a season full of great episodes, made by actual humans (with all their quirks!), and jokingly threatens that the creators will have wasted their time if viewers don’t watch. After Season 8 essentially started the show over, we can expect a fresh set of wild and unpredictable stories.
What’s Next for Rick and Morty?

Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen announced that the show continues to improve with each season, and he genuinely believes it’s true. He expressed amazement at the incredible talent and creativity being poured into the episodes, promising viewers a consistently wild and inventive experience with exceptionally well-developed characters. While he acknowledges he’s meant to promote the show, he insists his praise is sincere.
There’s more Rick and Morty content on the way! Keith David will reprise his role as President Curtis in a new spinoff series, simply titled President Curtis. While a release date hasn’t been announced yet, Stephanie Beatriz and Jim Rash are also set to star, though their roles are currently unknown.
