Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.68 Adds Yet More Cars, Events to PS5, PS4 Racer

Polyphony Digital is continuing to support Gran Turismo 7 with frequent updates. Patch 1.68, arriving within the next 24 hours for both PS5 and PS4, will add three new cars and four new races to the game.

The new events added to the World Circuits menu are as follows:

  • European Sunday Cup 400 – Dragon Trail – Gardens Reverse
  • Japanese Clubman Cup 550 – Kyoto Driving Park – Yamagiwa Reverse
  • American Clubman Cup 700 – Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta
  • World Touring Car 800 – Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve

As for the three new cars, we have the following arriving soon:

’91 Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 Type R (FD)

The third-generation RX-7, known as the FD3S, was Mazda’s attempt to create the perfect sports car. First released in December 1991, it represented a significant leap forward for Mazda’s rotary engine sports car line. Unlike earlier versions which were sold as the “Savanna,” this model was rebranded as the ɛ̃fini RX‑7. The car’s design prioritized being lightweight, well-balanced, and delivering exceptional performance.

’21 Renault Captur S Edition TCe 140

The Renault Captur is a versatile and stylish compact SUV that stands out in its class. First launched in 2013, it quickly became popular thanks to its city-friendly design and practicality. The updated second generation, released in 2019, offers a more comfortable ride and improved handling. A key feature of this newer model is Renault’s signature C-shaped headlights, giving it a distinctive look.

’69 Chevrolet Camaro Race-Mod

Okay, so this is basically a seriously upgraded version of the classic Camaro Z28 – a real legend. The original Camaro came out in ’66 as Chevy’s response to the Ford Mustang, and the Z28 was built for racing. It was specifically designed to compete in the SCCA Trans-Am Series, so it was a proper track-focused machine right from the start. It had a powerful, high-revving 4.9-liter V8, but you wouldn’t find any creature comforts like automatic transmissions or air conditioning – this was all about performance! Teams like Penske Racing raced it and it absolutely dominated in Trans-Am, helping kick off a whole new wave of powerful but smaller American V8 engines. It’s a cool piece of racing history.
