As Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End approaches the end of its current season, a preview of Episode 8 has been released. The anime is heading towards its conclusion as part of the Winter 2026 lineup, and the latest episodes feature intense battles against some of the most powerful demons seen so far. Now that these conflicts have been established, the story is poised to become even more dramatic.
Season 2 of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End has begun a new story arc, “Divine Revolte,” with the appearance of incredibly strong demons who destroyed a village on the Northern Plateau. Frieren and her companions have been tasked with helping the area, and they’ve joined forces with Genau and Methode, who were already there. The anime has been building up to some intense battles, and a first look at Episode 8 shows things are about to get even more chaotic.
How to Watch Frieren Season 2 Episode 8

The second season of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will continue with the Divine Revolte Arc, starting with Episode 8, which airs in Japan on Friday, March 13th. Fans in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, CIS, and India can stream the episode exclusively on Crunchyroll at 7:00 AM PT that same day. As seen in the first episode of this arc, Frieren and her companions are facing powerful and cunning demons.
We learned that Revolte is a demon from Genau’s past, responsible for the death of his former partner through his unique fighting style with four swords. Revolte isn’t just strong on his own; he commands three other powerful demons. Now, Frieren and her companions must develop a plan to face these enemies in individual battles and find a way to survive, which will be a significant challenge.
How Will Frieren Season 2 End?

The anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End was incredibly popular, and the start of its second season maintained that success. However, the second season will be shorter than the first, with only ten episodes planned. While it’s ending soon, it appears the season will have a strong and impactful finale.
The Divine Revolte arc is quite short in the original manga – only about five chapters long. This makes it uncertain how the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End will adapt it for its second season. The show has added content to episodes before, and ending the season on a significant arc like this would make sense. We’ll have to wait and see how much of the arc they ultimately include.
