Poll: Has PS5’s Dynamic Pricing Debacle Changed Your Relationship with the PS Store at All?

We had a noteworthy conversation on the Push Square Slack channel this morning while finalizing our guide to the Mega March sales.

“What if our users are seeing different prices?” PS Store professor Stephen Tailby pondered.

We carefully verified everything we could, especially considering the recent issues with fluctuating prices for the PlayStation 5.

We’ve confirmed that users are seeing varying prices for the same games in over 100 games across approximately 60 countries. These price differences seem to be based on factors that the platform isn’t sharing.

It’s no surprise this has upset a lot of our viewers – and we’re concerned too, as even our own team has noticed inconsistent pricing for games like Assassin’s Creed Unity.

Has this situation changed how you feel about buying games from the PlayStation Store? Are you still happy spending money there, knowing others might find the same games at a lower price? And has it made you think twice about how and when you buy games?
