Harry Jowsey Says He’s “Glad” He’s Not Friends With DWTS Cast Anymore

Harry Jowsey doesn’t regret cha-chaing out of the ballroom.

It’s been over two years since Harry Jowsey, known from Too Hot to Handle, was on Dancing With the Stars with professional dancer Rylee Arnold, and he recently explained why he’s no longer close with anyone from the show.

Harry, who was eliminated from the competition before the semi-finals, described his time as ‘the best experience ever’ on the March 11th episode of Danielle Fishel’s Teen Beat podcast. He said it was ‘really fun’ and that he had ‘the best time,’ adding that the people involved were initially wonderful but that later changed.

Okay, so he knew things would be different with a new group of celebrities on the show, that’s just obvious, but honestly, it was when his dad passed away in December 2024 that everything changed for him. It made him really look at who his true friends were, you know? It was heartbreaking, but it totally shifted his perspective on all his relationships.

He remembers noticing a shift when the new season started – many people stopped responding to his messages or unfollowed him. What hurt the most, he said, was not receiving any messages after his father’s passing, especially because he was close to those people. The only person who reached out was Sasha Farber.

He explained that he questioned whether the people around him were truly his friends, calling the situation awful. He admitted struggling with the distractions and ultimately felt relieved that he wasn’t close to them, especially considering his father’s recent passing.

The 28-year-old, who joined the team’s post-season tour as a special guest, mentioned he frequently worked out with one of the professional players. During these sessions, Harry confided in him about his father’s worsening health.

He said he realized they were aware something was happening, and that’s what bothered him the most. He wished they had simply reached out – a text would have been enough. Instead, after he posted a photo, especially considering his father had recently passed away, they just liked it, which felt very insensitive.

He stressed that he would have done anything for the person he was talking about, saying he would have been there for them no matter what. He added that he felt a sense of relief that particular part of his life was over.

But Harry also acknowledged that as the new season of DWTS ramps up, everyone on set is locked in.

As he put it, “It’s such a bubble and nothing else matters.”

Harry isn’t the only celebrity dealing with tricky friendships. Here are some other surprising celebrity disagreements.

In January 2024, Bobby addressed speculation about a disagreement with Tan, following his announcement in November 2023 that he was leaving Queer Eye after eight seasons. (Bobby is pictured second from left.)

He told Vanity Fair that he and Tan are doing okay despite a personal issue. He emphasized that the situation was between the two of them, unrelated to their work on the show, and wasn’t a romantic matter.

In March 2024, Tan addressed claims that he tried to get his friend Jeremiah Brent to replace Bobby on the show Queer Eye.

According to an Instagram post, the production team held extensive auditions. I didn’t recommend my friend for the role, but they ultimately won it because they were the most qualified. I also want to clarify that I didn’t help them get the part by sabotaging anyone else’s chances.

During a September 2023 game of “Stir the Pot” with her daughter, Kelly Osbourne, on TopMob News, Sharon Osbourne revealed that actor Danny Masterson, known for his role in “That ’70s Show,” was the rudest celebrity she’d ever encountered. She described him as a very rude and unpleasant person.

He did not respond to her remarks publicly.

Five years ago, Sharon shared with Larry King that Ashton seemed annoyed when he was a guest on The Talk in 2014, after she mispronounced his name.

She remembered him asking, ‘Who are you and what have you accomplished in this field?’ Her response was blunt: ‘Don’t mess with me, young man, because I’ll completely destroy you.’ She added, ‘You have no idea who you’re talking to.’

In August 2022, Cassadee Pope and Maren Morris publicly disagreed with Brittany Aldean, wife of country singer Jason Aldean. This followed a post Brittany shared on Instagram on August 23rd, where she thanked her parents for not allowing her to transition during a phase where she preferred traditionally masculine interests, stating she enjoyed her current feminine lifestyle.

In a 2022 TikTok trend, JoJo Siwa called Candace Cameron Bure the “rudest” celebrity she’d met, saying Bure once turned down her request for a photo on the red carpet. Soon after, Cameron Bure publicly apologized, saying she regretted hurting Siwa’s feelings when she was younger and was truly sorry for not taking the picture.

Candace and the other person resolved their differences. However, when asked months later if her network, Great American Family, would ever feature same-sex couples as the main characters in its holiday films, she said it wouldn’t, explaining that the network will continue to focus on traditional marriage.

As someone who champions inclusivity, I was really disappointed to see the recent comment made by the actress. JoJo, who bravely shared their identity as part of the LGBTQ+ community back in 2021, rightfully pointed out how hurtful and dismissive it was – not just to them, but to so many others. It’s a reminder that words have power, and we need to be mindful of the impact they have on entire communities.

In June 2021, Courtney Love claimed Olivia Rodrigo had copied the album cover art for her band Hole in a promotional photo without proper acknowledgement. Olivia responded with a message of support, saying, “Love u and live through this sooooo much.” Courtney then playfully replied, thanking Olivia and offering to share the details of her favorite florist in London if Olivia messaged her directly.

While on Watch What Happens Live, the Happy Days actor explained why he and the Forrest Gump star didn’t get along while filming their 1989 movie, Turner & Hooch.

I directed the movie for thirteen days, and then Jeff Katzenberg, the producer, told me to go home – that I had everything I needed, he said.

I remember hearing Winkler talk about working with Hanks’ dog, and it was so heartwarming! He really loved that animal, saying they got along wonderfully – he even said, ‘Love that dog!’ It was clear they had a special connection.

He also refused to admit if he’s even seen the flick.

“You know what you did!”

Those who watched The Hills likely remember a famous line from Lauren during the third season’s premiere. The drama between her and Heidi started when Heidi began dating Spencer Pratt. It reached its highest point when Lauren claimed Heidi and Spencer spread a false rumor about her and her then-boyfriend, Jason Wahler, alleging she’d made a sex tape.

Tyrese and Dwayne Johnson had a public falling out in 2017, starting with an Instagram post where Tyrese criticized Dwayne after the release of Fast & Furious 9 was delayed until April 2020. On the same day, a spin-off movie featuring Dwayne and Jason Statham was announced, slated for release in 2019. Shortly after, Tyrese said he would leave Fast 9 if Dwayne was still involved.

Tyrese recently discussed the conflict with Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, telling Van Lathan on The Red Pill podcast that he still hasn’t spoken to Johnson directly, though they plan to talk. He mentioned he did speak with one of Johnson’s producing partners, but not with Johnson himself.

Tyrese admitted he often ended up voicing concerns for others involved with the franchise, but he regretted being the only one to publicly share them. He acknowledged it was unprofessional and a mistake on his part.

No more bad blood here.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry were famously feuding for years, with some believing the conflict inspired Taylor’s song “Bad Blood.” The disagreement, said to have begun over a shared backup dancer and rivalry during concert tours, ended when Katy sent Taylor an olive branch as a peace offering before Taylor’s Reputation Tour began.

Taylor shared a video on Instagram explaining she’d found a real olive branch in her dressing room, saying it meant a lot to her.

Taylor captioned the video, “Thank you Katy.”

For years, Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker, stars of Sex and the City, dismissed rumors of a disagreement. However, those rumors resurfaced when Kim chose not to participate in a third movie and made some pointed comments about her co-star.

During a September 2017 appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen asked Sarah Jessica Parker how she felt about Kim Cattrall’s statement to Piers Morgan that they were simply colleagues and not friends.

Honestly, hearing her talk about it just broke my heart. We’d spent the whole week discussing it, and she was clearly really upset. She just kept saying it didn’t match her memory of what happened, and it was so sad to hear her feel that way. It felt like she was remembering things completely differently than I was.

It’s upsetting, but I believe what truly connects us is the shared experience we had. It started as a professional project, but over the years, it became deeply personal. I’m hoping that the impact of those years, and the special connection people felt, will outweigh any recent disagreements. It was a privilege to be a part of something so meaningful for so long.

And though they didn’t film scenes together, Kim did make a small appearance on And Just Like That.

I’ve been following both Elton John and Madonna for years, and it’s honestly a bit sad to see their rivalry. It all started back in 2004, when Elton was accepting an award and just completely ripped into Madonna. He basically called her out for lip-syncing during her concerts, saying something along the lines of, ‘What happened to actually singing live?’ and even suggested anyone who lip-syncs should face serious consequences! It was a really shocking moment, and things haven’t been the same between them ever since. As a fan of both, it’s just a long-running, unnecessary drama that I wish they’d put to rest.

The actress, formerly on Grey’s Anatomy, caused a disagreement with the show’s creator back in 2008 when she asked to not be considered for an Emmy Award. She explained that she didn’t think the storylines she was given were strong enough to justify a nomination.

Shonda Rhimes discussed Katherine’s choice in a 2012 interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah’s Next Chapter. She admitted it was both hurtful and expected. “When someone shows you their true colors, pay attention,” Rhimes explained. “I’ve really taken that to heart, and it’s been a valuable lesson for me.”

The fight between Nicki and Cardi at the Harper’s Bazaar Icon party during New York Fashion Week became a major news story. A month later, Cardi explained what she said caused the argument with Nicki.

Cardi B recently told W magazine that another person has been repeatedly criticizing her. They had talked twice before and seemed to resolve things, but the criticism continued.

The conflict really escalated when Cardi B noticed Nicki Minaj had seemingly liked, then unliked, a tweet criticizing Cardi’s parenting. Nicki has stated she didn’t actually interact with the tweet.

Cardi B explained she turned down a potentially very profitable Bruno Mars tour so she could be with her daughter, and she doesn’t regret it. She strongly defended her dedication as a mother, saying she doesn’t understand criticism from people who don’t have children. She also pointed out that opportunities to meet artists are rare, and she wasn’t going to pass up a chance to connect with Bruno Mars just because of where she was.

The conflict between Kanye West and Taylor Swift began in 2009 when he interrupted her acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards. They later reconciled and became friends, but their relationship fell apart in 2016 after Kanye released his song “Famous,” which included a reference to Taylor.

Just before the Grammy Awards in February 2025, Kanye West began following only Taylor Swift on Instagram. He didn’t offer any explanation for this action, and Taylor Swift hasn’t publicly acknowledged it.

“I don’t know her.”

The rumored rivalry between Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez began in 2003 during a German television interview. When asked about Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey famously stated, “I don’t know her.”
