DAVE THE DIVER DLC ‘In the Jungle’ launches June 18

The new downloadable content for DAVE THE DIVER, called “In the Jungle,” will be released on June 18th, according to developer MINTROCKET. At the same time, physical copies of the game – a Complete Edition and a Collector’s Edition – will be available for PlayStation 5 and the new Switch 2, distributed by Silver Lining Interactive.

The DAVE THE DIVER Complete Edition contains all previously released downloadable content, like the “In the Jungle” update, on a single game disc or card. The Collector’s Edition includes everything from the Complete Edition, plus a Bancho Sushi Restaurant acrylic standee, four metal pin badges, an acrylic keyring, a dolphin necklace, two Marinca cards, a poster, and four postcards.

“In the Jungle” takes Dave to a brand-new location where he’ll be taking on new challenges with freshwater environments. He’ll meet new people, reconnect with old friends, and explore uncharted waters. This charming jungle village is full of possibilities, though it has its share of risks! The new downloadable content offers around 10 hours of gameplay, featuring unexpected events and fresh gameplay elements that are different from anything seen in the main game or previous expansions.

The Village

Welcome to Utara, a vibrant jungle village where the days pass just like in real life. Here, you play as Dave, who can explore the underwater world, collect fruits and materials, and get to know the villagers by helping them with tasks and quests. As you build friendships, you’ll earn their trust and support, unlocking new possibilities in Utara and even benefiting Bancho’s restaurant!

New Restaurant

A major addition in the “In the Jungle” update is Bancho Grill, a new restaurant in Utara that serves fully cooked freshwater fish dishes.

Compared to his previous job at Bancho Sushi, where he was stuck in one spot, Dave can now move around the entire Grill, serving customers everywhere. As he gets to know the villagers better, they’ll start coming to Bancho Grill to eat, making it a central meeting place and strengthening Dave’s connection to the community.

Systems and Weapons

This time, Dave explores a large freshwater lake instead of the Blue Hole, and it’s full of surprises – new creatures, unusual food, and hidden dangers. To handle this new environment, Mintrocket introduced the Jungle Gun, a highly adaptable weapon. It can quickly change into different forms – like a net gun, shotgun, sniper rifle, or standard gun – letting players customize their approach to combat and try out various playstyles.

You can now play DAVE THE DIVER on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
