Hit Adventure RPG Dave the Diver Reveals Release Date for Its Most Ambitious Expansion Yet

I was so excited when Dave the Diver came out in 2023 – it quickly became a favorite with its relaxing but addictive gameplay! It started on PC, but now it’s available on Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox too. They’ve added a bunch of cool DLC, including crossovers with Yakuza and Godzilla! But for the last year, the developers, Mintrocket, have been hinting at something really big. Finally, we know when Dave the Diver: In the Jungle is coming out – I can’t wait!

At the Future Games Show Spring Showcase during GDC, Mintrocket revealed a new trailer for the “In the Jungle” expansion of Dave the Diver, and announced its release date. The DLC will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on June 18th. I’m really excited about this expansion – it looks like it will add fantastic new gameplay to an already incredible game!

Dave the Diver Sets “In the Jungle” DLC Release Date with New Gameplay Trailer

Mintrocket says the upcoming “In the Jungle” DLC is the largest and most expansive update yet for Dave the Diver. Previous DLCs were typically smaller collaborations adding just a few characters, but this one introduces an entirely new area to explore – a whole new village! Coming in June, players will be able to explore this village, interact with its residents through a new friendship system, and experience fresh, real-time gameplay. Plus, a new restaurant called Bancho Grill will open its doors, offering a unique cooking experience with free movement and a menu focused on freshwater ingredients.

So, running the restaurant is still a big part of Dave the Diver, but the new DLC is taking things in a really cool direction! I’m excited because Dave’s heading to a jungle and there’s a whole new freshwater lake to explore. That means new weapons, new tools, and a ton of new fish and creatures to catch for Bancho Grill. The newest downloadable content for Dave the Diver brings a lot of exciting new things to do in the game. It looks like we’ll even be able to find some ingredients outside of the ocean this time! I’m definitely excited to jump back in. The DLC, called “In the Jungle,” will be available on June 18th for all platforms that support Dave the Diver.

The trailer revealed that physical copies of Dave the Diver are coming to PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. The Dave the Diver: Complete Edition will include the full game and all previously released downloadable content, including the new “In the Jungle” update. A special collector’s edition is also available for dedicated fans, featuring extras like a Bancho Sushi standee and collectible pin badges. You can pre-order these physical editions starting today.
