Alien: Earth Star Wants Wendy To Take on a Great Alien Foe in Crossover

Ahead of the new season of Alien: Earth, Sydney Chandler, who plays Wendy in the sci-fi horror show, has expressed her desire to see a battle between the first human-Alien hybrid and the Predator. In a recent interview, the actress discussed how her character, Wendy, might react if she were to encounter the iconic outer-space warrior.

Florence Pugh, known for her role in ‘Don’t Worry Darling,’ says she doesn’t know if there are any plans for her to star in a ‘Predator’ movie, but she’d be very excited if it ever happened.

When asked about a potential return, Sydney Chandler said it would depend on the circumstances, but she thinks her character would definitely believe she could handle it. She also highlighted that the character is still discovering what she’s good at, which is an interesting part of her journey. Chandler pointed out that children often possess a unique bravery – they don’t always consider the risks, and that can be both a strength and a vulnerability. She’d be excited to explore that further in the role, but isn’t sure if it will happen.

I recently spoke with Sophia Chandler about where she hopes her character goes in Season 2 of Alien: Earth. She’s really thinking about a journey back to warmth for her character. We’ve seen her transform from someone quite naive to someone who’s fully embraced the technological side of things, even becoming a bit hardened along the way. She’s interested in exploring what happens after that innocence is lost, and how her character might rediscover some of her earlier warmth. It sounds like she’s eager to show a more nuanced side to this character in the next season, and I, for one, am intrigued.

The actress, age 30, suggested that the character Wendy could explore the balance between similarities and differences with the other creatures. Since Wendy is unique and essentially an outsider, there’s a great opportunity to show what that feels like – perhaps even examining the fear or danger that comes with being both equal to and different from everyone else.

Although there hasn’t been an announcement about an Alien vs. Predator crossover, FX has approved a second season of the Alien series, with filming scheduled to begin in May 2026.
