Kieran Culkin has an update on whether his pregnancy pact with wife Jazz Charton succeeded.
The actor, who won Best Supporting Actor at the 2025 awards for his role in A Real Pain, revealed a year ago that he and his partner had agreed she would have four children with him if he ever won an Oscar. He’s now jokingly hoping she’ll keep that promise.
Kieran revealed to Entertainment Tonight at the 2026 Oscars on March 15th that his partner was already pregnant with their third child when he was publicly asking for a fourth. They had only learned about the pregnancy two weeks prior. (See photos of all the celebrities on the red carpet here.)
The 43-year-old also made a point of mentioning to his wife, Jazz – whom he married in 2013 – that they had previously agreed to have more children, as he’s still hoping for a fourth child.
Honestly, seeing Kieran talk about their third baby just melts my heart! He said the little one, who arrived last fall, is absolutely beautiful and perfect, and he even joked that if this is their last, they’ve really done an amazing job as parents. It’s so sweet to hear him express that kind of joy!
Kieran, who is also a father to Kinsey, 6, and Wilder, 4, shared, “We might be happy with just three kids – they’re wonderful.”
The agreement about their baby wasn’t the first Kieran made with Jazz, who used to work in advertising. He’d actually promised her a third baby earlier, as a celebration for winning an Emmy in 2023 for his role in Succession.
While accepting his Emmy, he thanked his wife, Jazz, calling her beautiful and expressing his gratitude for her partnership and their two wonderful children.
Kieran added, “And Jazz, I want more. You said maybe, if I win.”

He remembered sharing a funny moment after a show. They were walking through the parking lot, and she was still holding her Emmy. As they searched for her car, she suddenly exclaimed, ‘Oh my gosh, I actually said that! I guess that means we need to have another baby!’
Kieran recounted that she told him, ‘I’ll give you four dollars when you win an Oscar.’ He then added, ‘Jazz, my love, you don’t have much faith in me.’
The actor said, “I love you. I’m truly sorry for repeating this mistake, and let’s start thinking about having children.”

I was completely captivated hearing him tell this story at the Oscars in 2025. He described walking with her through a parking lot right after the show. She was still clutching her Emmy, and they were searching for her car when, out of nowhere, she blurted out, ‘Oh my gosh, did I really say that? I guess that means we have to have another baby!’ It was such a sweet and funny moment, and really showed their relationship.
Kieran recounted that she told him, ‘I’ll give you four dollars when you win an Oscar.’ He then added, addressing Jazz, ‘Honestly, my love, you don’t seem to have much faith in me.’
