Miles Morales is featured in the latest Spider-Man release, which is part of a major year for the character. We’ll see the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man back in 2026 in at least one project. Rumors suggest Tobey Maguire will reprise his role in Avengers: Doomsday, and Tom Holland is confirmed to star in Spider-Man: Brand New Day alongside other big names.
Even if both Spider-Men appeared in a movie in 2026, it would still be Peter Parker as the main character. But things are different on TV. Nicolas Cage will play Ben Reilly in the Prime Video series Spider-Noir, and a new animated Spider-Man show will feature Miles Morales in 2026, leading up to the return of Spider-Verse next year.
As a huge Spider-Man fan, I’ve seen him star in so many animated series over the years – from Ultimate Spider-Man to The Spectacular Spider-Man, they’ve all been great! Now, we have Spidey and his Amazing Friends, which is cool because it’s its own separate world. And while I’m really looking forward to the next season of the Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man show from Marvel Studios in 2026, right now everyone’s talking about this latest release.
With four seasons already completed, Spidey and his Amazing Friends brings together heroes and villains from across the Marvel universe. While Spider-Man characters are central to the story, the show also features other main heroes, making it enjoyable for newcomers who haven’t seen it yet.
Miles Morales appears as the hero Spin, not Spider-Man, alongside Gwen Stacy as Ghost-Spider, both joining Peter as main characters. In season 4 of Spidey and his Amazing Friends, Miles sports a red and black superhero costume featuring a large “V” on his chest. Unlike traditional Spider-Man outfits, his pants lack webbing, and he even wears a pirate-themed variation with a hat and jacket during the season.
Currently, there isn’t a live-action Miles Morales Spider-Man that looks quite like the one in Spidey and his Amazing Friends. However, the animated version is very similar to Miles’ original appearance in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. The animated design takes a lot of inspiration from those comics, though there are some differences – for example, the animated Spider-Man’s gloves are completely red, while in the comics only the fingers are red.
The design of Miles Morales’ character in Spidey and his Amazing Friends has a few differences from the comics. For example, he wears red boots instead of black, and the Spider-Man symbol on his suit is smaller. However, these changes actually work well. The TV show successfully pays tribute to the original comics while also offering a new and interesting take on Miles’ signature suit.
