Bandai Reveals the First 2 VTuber Gundam Kits Alongside Special New Release

Hoshimachi Suisei is collaborating with Gundam, and to celebrate, they’ve released a couple of model kits. These kits are based on the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam, piloted by Amuro Ray in the original Mobile Suit Gundam anime, and the Zaku II, a common unit in the series. Both are available as collectibles.

These models stick to their traditional colors, but come with special Hoshimachi Suisei collaboration stickers to show off the connection. The stickers feature Suisei’s name and symbols, giving the mobile suits a musical vibe inspired by her. Even the Zaku includes stickers that look like the pattern on her clothes!

Both action figures come with large guns they can carry on their backs: the Zaku has a Gatling gun and a smaller weapon, while the RX-78-2 features a Beam Rifle and a shield. They will be available for purchase with the new CD single of Suisei’s songs, “Mou Dounattemo Iiya” and “Yoru ni Saku,” which were featured in the 2025 anime Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. A separate CD version is also available, packaged with an acrylic stand depicting the character Conch from GQuuuuuuX.

Both versions will cost approximately US$40 and will be released through various retailers starting March 25, 2025. This is only one of many figures planned, with more based on robots from throughout the franchise’s long history currently in development.
