Season 2 of One Piece has become a huge hit on Netflix, quickly climbing to the top of the global charts. It’s even surpassed popular shows like Virgin River and Bridgerton in viewership. With a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the new season of the live-action series is proving just how popular it is.

One Piece Season 2 tops global streaming charts of Netflix TV shows

Season 2 of One Piece premiered on Netflix the week of March 9th, 2026, and quickly became the most-watched show globally, racking up 16.8 million views. This strong start puts the live-action series ahead of many other popular shows on Netflix.

The new live-action series performed better than several other popular shows, including Season 7 of Virgin River and Season 4 of Bridgerton. It also topped the charts over recent releases like The Dinosaurs: Season 1, Love Is Blind: The Reunion, Age of Attraction: Season 1, and The Night Agent: Season 3.

The new season of One Piece, titled “Into the Grand Line,” premiered on March 10, 2026. It follows Monkey D. Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) and his crew as they venture further into unknown waters. This season features tougher obstacles and new enemies as the group continues their journey. I’m completely hooked on Season 7 of Virgin River! It started on March 12th, and it’s just beautiful watching Mel and Jack – played by Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson – figure things out as a married couple. They’re dreaming about their future, looking into adoption, and facing some really tough challenges with a sick child. It’s heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once!

Season 4 of Bridgerton centers on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his blossoming romance with Sophie Baek (Yerin Ha). Their connection begins at a masked ball, and the season follows them as they navigate the difficulties of coming from different social classes.
