PlayStation has released its own trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is unusual for how well they’re working with other companies on this promotion.
The new movie, releasing on July 31st, gives a sneak peek at what happens next in the story, following the events of the blockbuster film No Way Home, which earned over $2 billion at the box office.
If you saw the 2021 film, you’ll remember Peter Parker asked Doctor Strange to make everyone forget he existed, hoping to save the multiverse.
The upcoming movie features a sad and withdrawn Spider-Man trying to rebuild his life in a New York City where no one recognizes him.
The new PlayStation trailer is quickly gaining popularity, already nearing a million views across PlayStation and Marvel’s social media channels. It’s expected to become one of their most-watched videos overall.
As a huge fan, I noticed something different about this version – it actually ends with a little preview for the new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game coming to PlayStation 5! That’s a neat addition I hadn’t seen in other versions before.
This is a great example of Sony’s long-held vision of having its different parts work seamlessly together. Since many people who own a PlayStation also love Spider-Man, bringing these two together just makes sense.
