I was so thrilled to see Michael B. Jordan finally get the recognition he deserves! Everyone who’s been watching him for years knew he was a star, and the Academy finally agreed, awarding him Best Actor for his incredible performance in Sinners. He absolutely blew me away playing those twins, Smoke and Stack – it’s a truly fantastic, critically acclaimed horror film directed by Ryan Coogler. Now everyone’s revisiting his past work, and I just found out there’s a really cool action thriller from 2021 that you can actually stream for free right now. But don’t wait too long, because it won’t be available forever!
If you’re looking for an action movie, 2021’s Without Remorse, currently available on Tubi, is worth checking out. Despite being based on a popular Tom Clancy novel and written by the creator of Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan, it didn’t get much attention when it came out. While other Tom Clancy adaptations, like the Jack Ryan series, are well-known, Without Remorse flew under the radar. It’s listed as leaving Tubi soon, so you don’t have much time left to see Michael B. Jordan in action!
Without Remorse May Have Gone Unnoticed, But Jordan’s Performance Is Fantastic
The film Without Remorse follows John Kelly, a Navy SEAL played by Jordan, as he seeks revenge for the murder of his pregnant wife and fellow team members by Russian assassins. His quest uncovers a larger conspiracy. While the story of a wronged hero isn’t new, Jordan’s strong performance and impressive action scenes elevate the movie beyond typical military thrillers. Kelly is a nuanced character – not inherently malicious, but driven to extreme measures when those he cares about are harmed. Jordan skillfully portrays this internal conflict, allowing the audience to connect with Kelly on a personal level, which adds depth to the film’s fast-paced action and prevents it from feeling shallow.
Michael B. Jordan is part of a fantastic cast in this film, alongside Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Luke Mitchell, and several other talented actors who all deliver strong performances. While the movie’s basic storyline isn’t entirely original, the exceptional acting really makes it stand out. A sequel is already planned, with ‘John Wick’ director Chad Stahelski at the helm and Jordan reprising his role. Considering Jordan’s recent Academy Award win, this movie is definitely worth a watch.
