Zendaya Teases Her British Accent Amid Tom Holland Wedding Rumors

Zendaya has no challenge releasing her inner Brit.           

Following speculation about a secret wedding with Tom Holland, actress Zendaya shared that she’s been working on her British accent quite a bit lately, and her The Batman co-star, Robert Pattinson, thinks she’s doing a great job.

Rob revealed to Erin Lim Rhodes of TopMob News at the Los Angeles movie premiere on March 17th that he considers Zendaya “an honorary English person.”

As for her most English quality? 

Zendaya jokingly mentioned she’s recently started picking up a British accent. She explained that she’ll unexpectedly say things with British phrasing or pronunciation, and it’s becoming a noticeable habit.

Joking of her transformation into a full-fledged Brit, Robert added, “She’s turning.” 

Robert Pattinson, the actor who plays Batman, would be a trustworthy person to ask. He and the director have worked closely together on multiple projects, including the upcoming films The Odyssey and Dune: Part Three, both scheduled to be released later this year.

She told Rob she was thrilled to be working with him on The Drama, which opens in theaters April 3rd. She’s a long-time admirer of his work and added that, despite a busy year with many projects, she hopes they collaborate again soon. She also shared that she’s a big fan of Rob personally.

Zendaya’s recent honorary title could also be linked to her relationship with Tom, who is from the UK. Her stylist, Law Roach, recently suggested that they might have secretly gotten married.

Although Tom and Zendaya, both 29, haven’t spoken about the comments, Zendaya seemed to acknowledge the attention on her relationship with her recent outfit choice.

She explained that her choice to wear a beautiful gown she’d previously worn to the 2015 Oscars—a dress reminiscent of a wedding gown—was completely intentional, and every detail of her look was carefully considered.

I was chatting with Law about what kind of look I should go for at the film premiere, and I suddenly remembered that old saying – ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.’ This outfit? It’s my ‘something old’ – a little nod to tradition!

I remember being so excited at San Diego Comic-Con back in 2016! It was amazing seeing Tom Holland and Zendaya together, they were clearly having fun and laughing during the Marvel panel. In a sweet birthday message posted on September 1st, Tom Holland affectionately referred to Zendaya as ‘MJ’ – the name of her character – and wished her a happy birthday. He ended the message with a playful request for her to call him when she was free.

Okay, so I was totally glued to the SiriusXM Town Hall with the Spider-Man: No Way Home cast in New York, and honestly, just hearing Tom and Zendaya talk together was EVERYTHING. It was amazing just to listen to them! I couldn’t stop smiling.

The actress wore a custom Valentino dress, and Tom looked sharp in a Prada suit, as they posed for photos at the Los Angeles premiere of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

After their third Spider-Man film hit theaters, Zendaya heaped praise over her leading man.

She exclaimed how proud she was of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, adding that some things are reliably great, and tagging his Instagram handle.

The couple celebrated a late Valentine’s Day with a stylish night out in New York City on February 16th.

Zendaya shared this sweet shot of her boyfriend enjoying the water in honor of his birthday.

Tom revealed a new photo to celebrate his 27th birthday, playfully calling it “possibly the sexiest picture ever taken of me” on Instagram. Zendaya responded with a heart-eye emoji, showing her approval.

Zendaya seemed inspired by her character from Challengers while attending the BNP Paribas Open Men’s Final in Indian Wells, California, with Tom Holland and her assistant, Darnell Appling.

The two enjoyed a night out in London.

After Tom’s play, Romeo and Juliet, premiered in London, Zendaya was there to support him. They were photographed holding hands as they left the theater.

When Tom launched his new non-alcoholic beer brand, Bero, Zendaya supported him while wearing a matching burgundy outfit.

While visiting Zendaya on the set of her movie, The Drama, in Newbury, Massachusetts, the pair went out for a beer from Bero.

Tom announced on Instagram that he was going to a bar to try a ‘Bero’ for the first time, sharing a photo of his girlfriend smiling behind him. He promised to share an update on how it went.
