It’s been a week since the release of Netflix’s live-action One Piece Season 2, and the excitement hasn’t faded. The new season, which fans waited over two years for, follows the Straw Hat Pirates as they enter the Grand Line and encounter both new friends and foes. Like the first season, this installment takes some liberties with the original manga while still capturing the heart of the story. The season concludes with a major cliffhanger: the Straw Hat Pirates welcome a new member and set sail for Alabasta. Premiering on March 10th, 2026, the series quickly became a global success, topping the weekly English shows chart on Netflix between March 9th and 15th, according to Netflix Tudum.
The show launched on March 10th and quickly became a hit, racking up 16.8 million views in just six days – far surpassing the viewership of Dinosaurs Season 1. Building on the popularity of the live-action Season 2, Netflix released a six-episode podcast series on March 13th, 2026. The podcast features the cast and creator Eiichiro Oda sharing behind-the-scenes stories, hidden details, and other interesting insights.
Netflix’s One Piece Live-Action Will Soon Be Returning With Its Season 3

Season 3 is happening! It was announced last August and a first look was shown at One Piece Day, suggesting it will arrive fairly soon. Production on Season 3 overlapped with the longer-than-expected creation of Season 2, which covered the Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island storylines. Season 3 will likely complete the Alabasta Arc, introducing the Straw Hat Pirates to Crocodile, a powerful member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
The crew is heading to a dangerous desert island to face a very strong pirate in the Grand Line. This season promises to be more action-packed and adventurous than ever, with the crew battling the perils of the sea and forming new alliances. The last episode of season one ended with a major cliffhanger, revealing that Crocodile, a powerful leader known as one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, is plotting something as the Straw Hat Pirates journey towards Alabasta.
I’m so hyped for the next season! Our crew is about to face their biggest challenge yet – they’re fighting for Vivi’s kingdom! And it’s not just about the battle, we’re going to learn so much more about the villains, especially the Baroque Works. We’ll finally see what Crocodile is really up to and why he needs Nico Robin’s help. Speaking of Robin, everyone already loves her, and I’m thrilled the live-action series is doing her story justice! She starts as Crocodile’s right hand, but trust me, she’s going to be a huge player in everything that happens next.
