SEGA has made a strong comeback with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the first in a series of planned revivals for their classic game franchises.
Lizardcube created this fast-paced, side-scrolling action game, which features beautiful visuals and smooth, satisfying combat.
The publisher has revealed the release date for the new DLC with a fantastic animated trailer.
The Villains Stage downloadable content arrives on April 3rd, 2026, and will task players with battling three villains pulled from other popular SEGA games.
This downloadable content features iconic villains like Dr. Eggman (from Sonic the Hedgehog), Goro Majima (from Like a Dragon), and Death Adder (from Golden Axe). It also adds five new stages based on their respective games, and includes:
- Two new Boss Rush modes
- Three new ninpo abilities
- Three new outfits for Joe
- Six new music tracks
If you purchased the Digital Deluxe edition of the game, the upcoming DLC will be included for you in April. For everyone else, the DLC will be available to purchase separately for £8.99. Alternatively, you can upgrade to the Digital edition for £10.99, which also includes all the bonus content from the Digital Deluxe version.
In addition to the Villains DLC, the Art of Vengeance will also get a significant free update for everyone who plays.
This update includes a new Hardcore mode, combat system adjustments, and updates to visuals and UI.
