Russell Wilson Takes Ciara’s Son Future on First College Visit

Russell Wilson is going long for his family’s future.

Ciara’s son, 11-year-old Future Zahir (whom she shares with her ex, Future), recently visited the University of Texas. The NFL quarterback shared photos and videos from what he called Future’s first college visit.

In a video posted to Instagram on March 14th, Russell asked Future Zahir for his thoughts, and Future responded with, “I love Texas. This school’s great.”

Remarking that “everything’s bigger in Texas,” he added, “Look at the stadium! Pretty big.”

Russell and his son, Future Zahir, showed their support for the Texas Longhorns by wearing team apparel. They then explored the university’s athletic facilities, including the batting cages, soccer field, and the football stadium.

He was at a school event – probably cheering on future Broncos, let’s be real – and he posted about it with ‘Hook’Em!’ – that’s their school’s cheer, you guys! – and it just melted my heart. He mentioned his adorable kids, Sienna, Win, and little Amora, and said they had a ‘fun time!’ Seriously, this family is perfection. I’m officially obsessed!

Future Zahir hasn’t decided on a college yet, but his family strongly believes in the importance of education. His mother, Ciara, for example, returned to school in 2019 to earn a business degree from Harvard University.

She shared on Instagram how thrilled she was that her dream of going to college had finally come true, saying she’d always remember the feeling. She described the experience of walking to class, connecting with classmates, studying interesting cases, and exploring both the Harvard campus and the city of Cambridge as something truly amazing.

She added, “Never stop dreaming. Never stop believing!”

The 40-year-old says it’s still unknown if her children will pursue music like her, or sports, like their father, who is 37.

Future enjoys both music and sports, and Sienna also loves music,” the parent shared in a 2022 interview. “It’s too early to know what Future and Sienna will be interested in as they grow up, but they have endless potential and could pursue anything they set their minds to.”
